Favorite Things....Favorite Summer Moment

Hello Ladies!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for their "Favorite Things" Party...be sure to link up too!

and here is what is coming up......

Today we are sharing our favorite summer moment!  This was a very different summer for me, this was the first year that my kids went and spent 3 weeks with their dad.  I feel like I didn't really get a summer with them, they came home, we left for a family vacation and once we got back home it was full force back to school mode over here!

As much as I missed my kids this summer, I know they had an absolute blast spending so much time with their dad.  And after the first few days and some tears, I was determined to take advantage of our kid free time!

Mark and I had a GREAT summer!  We jammed a whole bunch of fun in!  I truly treasured every single second we had together!

Everything that we did was a favorite for me!

We started our summer out with a beach trip over the Fourth of July...there is truly nothing better than waking up to the ocean every day!

We had a great little getaway!

The weekend after the beach we headed out to see Tim McGraw...and though I didn't love the concert, I absolutely loved the time with Mark and just being together!

Lawn sittin'.....perfection!

Another favorite moment of summer was our little weekend trip up to the mountains...it was so nice to just once again get a way and enjoy some cooler temps....and by cooler temps I mean it was only 90 degrees!

Gorgeous views and time with my hubby....love it all.

We also got to go see Toby Keith....and then head to Bristol the next day for the race...both were so much fun and definitely a favorite moment of my summer.....

So much fun and so many memories!

All of these things were a ton of fun....but my very favorite moment from this summer was our family trip to Michigan.  Time alone with my husband is always perfect, but there is nothing better than being all together, with the kids, making memories!  Start to finish we had a great time in Michigan.  I absolutely love it there...it is quiet, peaceful and just beautiful.  I love seeing my "city" kids out there fishing, running up sand dunes, taking turns giving their sister boat rides...it is just truly the best!

We really did have a great summer and as sad as I am to see it all come to an end...I am very ready for cooler temps, a routine back and FOOTBALL!

Can't wait to read about everyone's favorite summer moments today!

Back To School 2015

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

Hard to believe summer is over and the kids are back in school.  I really feel like this summer flew by.  The kids were gone for almost a month so I feel like I didn't really have a summer with them!

My kids have been carefree this summer...staying up super late and sleeping even later!  I knew trying to break them in a week before school started was not going to work, so we just started cold turkey Monday morning!  I knew they would be a bit excited, so everyone woke up just fine Monday morning...Olivia was up at 5:30....that never happens!  On Tuesday, it was a struggle to drag her out of bed at 7:30!

Lunchboxes were all laid out ready to be packed....I hate packing lunchboxes!  If you are looking for some great lunch box packing tips, head over and see how my friend Shelly keeps packing lunches easy and organized!

This girl!!!  Mornings are always interesting with her!

Hard to believe she is starting 2nd grade...the time has flown by so quickly!

AJ is going to OWN middle school...there is no doubt in my mind about that!

And my sweet Jack....I mean his last year of middle school...not even sure how that happened!

These 3 are the BEST!

This is the first year Olivia will be at school without AJ....he walked her into her class every day for the past two years...she is going to miss having him there so much.  Before I left to drop off Olivia, AJ gave her a big hug and told her she was a big girl and was going to be fine without him.  He really is a super sweet boy.  She is so lucky to have big brothers who love her so much!

And there goes my heart.....walking into school all by herself!

She came home all smiles....and had a GREAT day!

I loved seeing everyone's back to school pictures!  So fun!  Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up...A Little Country, A Litte Racing and A Whole Lotta Fun!

Happy Tuesday Girls!

I am doing my weekend wrap-up once again on Tuesday because I just couldn't get it all together Sunday night!  I still can't believe we are back in school.  Boy summer sure did fly by!

We had a GREAT weekend over here!  Friday night we went to the Toby Keith concert and it was nothing short of FABULOUS!  I had seen him a few years ago and wasn't impressed, so I didn't have high hopes going in....but boy oh boy he did not disappoint.  Start to finish he was awesome!

Tailgating is half the fun...and we always have a great time!  We were so happy that my brother and sister in law were there too!

And can we talk about how adorable my mom is....she had the best time and we loved her being there.  She is coming to see Luke Bryan with us and she is so excited!  My mom is seriously so great!

I love having my son there with me too...it is so wonderful having a relationship with your adult child!  I am so blessed to be his mom!

And what's tailgating without some Bucket Pong!

Amazing night with my awesome family!

So much fun!

It was a super fun night.  Finally around 2 am we decided to call it a night and get to bed!

Saturday morning Mark had to go into work for a bit and as much as I was hoping to sleep in, I didn't!  To say I was tired was an understatement!  I ran a few errands and met him back at work so we could drive up to Bristol for the NASCAR race!

Mark has been to Bristol numerous times, but I have never been there.  I was so excited to go!  My husband gets a ton of perks from work, so I was more than happy to tag along and watch the race from the comfort of an air conditioned suite with yummy food and drinks!

I am so thankful for all the time that we are able to spend together!

Golf cart sittin'

Not a bad view!

I just thought the light up eyes in this camper were so funny!

Jolly Rancher Moonshine....he liked it...I thought it was nasty!

AWESOME fireworks after the race!

I was so thankful we had some first class treatment because the amount of people at this race was ridiculous and the crowds leaving the track was like nothing I have ever seen, and it seriously lasted HOURS!  I was so happy to be watching it all from an observation deck!

It's hard to really see in these pictures, but those are just lines of people....CRAZY

Swarms of people everywhere!

No joke, it lasted for two hours!

I was SO HAPPY to NOT be down there in that!

We had planned to stay in a camper with some friends, but we were fortunate enough to get upgraded to one of our own to sleep in....and let me tell you....it was GORGEOUS!  It is amazing how beautiful these coaches are!

Heating us up some food!

The floors were gorgeous...and heated!

Figuring out our sleep number:)

My bathroom at home isn't this nice!!

We were definitely happy campers that night!

At 2am it was time for Pepsi and some ribs!

It was another crazy late night, but it was so much fun!  We had the absolute best time!  Definitely an experience we will remember forever!

We got home around 3 Sunday afternoon and spent the rest of the day laying around, getting all the kiddos stuff together for school!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for to hear all about the kiddos first day of school!
