Favorite Things Party

Happy Monday Ladies!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for their "Favorite Things Party"...grab the graphic and link up too!

and here is the list for what is coming up....

Today it is all about scarves....when I think about fall I immediately think about scarves!  I have a few lighter weight scarves that I could definitely wear during the spring and summer, but I rarely ever do!

Here are my scarves.......

The plaid one on the top I picked up at Target last year, it was like $16 and I wore it a ton!  I couldn't find the exact one online, but you can find some great similar ones here .  The blue one I picked up at a local little boutique here to wear to a Panther's game last year.  The one on the far right I got at Target probably 4 years ago on clearance for like $2

The leopard sparkly scarf on the bottom left is one of my favorites.  My mom gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago and I have no clue where it came from.  The one on the top left I got again from Target on clearance last year for $4.97!  The one on the bottom right is awesome and super lightweight!  I got them at Nordstrom last year and couldn't find them online, but you can look here for some great ones under $50.  The one above the light blue one is furry and super soft!  I got it last year from Nordstrom on clearance, similar one here .

The scarf in the upper left corner was another Target find a few years back.  The navy strip one I got at Old Navy last year and I probably wear it the most out of all my scarves, it is lightweight and goes with so many different things.  Old Navy has some really great scarves, you can check them all out here .  The leopard one on the bottom left is also a favorite of mine, I wear it a lot!  I couldn't find my exact one, but found a similar one here

A scarf is a great accessory, so I am anxious to see everyone's favorites today!  I am on the lookout for the perfect plaid blanket scarf!

Happy Monday!

Friday Favorites

It's FRIDAY!!!

Today I am linking up with Andrea , Erika , and Narci and sharing my Friday Favorites.  Be sure to grab the graphic and link up too!

ONE
I talked earlier this week about how much I love my new shirt from Be Still Clothing , I have worn it a few times already and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites to wear.  And it is SUPER SOFT!  If you are looking for a cute new shirt, go and check them out!

TWO
Last week I was out buying a baby gift for a friend of ours, and I picked up these shoes...I am loving them and cannot wait to wear them this weekend!  I wore them around the house for a bit and they seemed pretty comfy.  I normally wear a 7.5-8 depending on the shoe, and I wound up getting an 8.5 in these!  Super cute shoes are always a favorite for me!

THREE
Last year I pretty much wore my Kate Spade Studs pretty much every single day...and I still love them!  But lately my "go to" earrings have been my Kendra Scott earrings...I am loving them!  I have the turquoise, hot pink, yellow, coral  and the slate colored ones!  I find that I reach for the slate colored ones probably 4 times a week....they go with everything!  If you are looking for a great pair of earrings definitely check them out!  The "Elle" is my favorite size!

FOUR
Cheap gas is definitely a favorite for me.  Being able to fill up for under $30 makes me HAPPY!

FIVE
I was scrolling through facebook and I saw this...I mean can't every mom out there relate!  I have definitely been guilty of this!  Funny little quotes and sayings are always a favorite for me!

SIX

Pictures of my kiddos is always a favorite of mine!  I love them all so much!

SEVEN
My step-daughter has been here in NC since mid-June and my kiddos love having her close by!  I am truly blown away by how our children blended so seamlessly together.  Taylor is the same age as Harrison, they are 5 days apart, and much like him, she is truly so great with the little kids, especially Jack and AJ.  She comes down once a week to visit us, and she always does such fun things with the boys.  I am so thankful for her and the love she has for my kids!  On Wednesday my kids had a teacher workday, so she came down Tuesday night, picked up the boys to spend the night with her, then spent all day Wednesday with them.  They went for a tour at one of the local race shops, and my boys loved it!

It really is true what they say...love NOT blood makes a family!  My crazy blended family...definitely a favorite of mine!
Can't wait to read everyone's favorites today!  Hope you all have a great weekend!  Be sure to check back Monday for "Favorite Things" with Andrea and Erika ....it's all about scarves!

Happy Thursday...It's Luke Bryan Time!

Happy Thursday Ladies!

Hope you are all having a great week so far!  I am super excited because tonight we are headed to see Luke Bryan!  If you read my blog or follow me on social media you know how much I love country concerts, we go to a lot!  We have seen Luke Bryan a few times and he always puts on an awesome show!  Last year when we saw him, it rained and I mean POURED from start to finish, but it was still amazing!

This is the last country concert of the season and I am looking forward to having a blast with all our friends, our "regulars" and all the new friends we have met this summer at each concert!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for my Friday Favorites!

What We're Watching....

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

We have our first Teacher Workday today, so we are sleeping in and enjoying being home today!

Today I am talking about what we are watching over here....

I love fall for so many reasons...and one of them is because all my favorite shows start again!  We are definitely reality TV junkies over here...we watch every single show about Alaskan people, we love Mick Dodge, Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, Wicked Tuna...and every other show just like those!  In addition to all those we have a few favorites over here that we are super excited about being able to watch again!

Every year I say I am going to watch Scandal and I never do...I am sure I am missing out on something fabulous!

So here is what we are excited about watching!

NCIS:  LOS ANGELES
We LOVE NCIS Los Angeles!  I am a huge fan of LL Cool J!  Super excited this show is back!

SCORPION
If you guys aren't watching Scorpion you should be!  My husband started watching it last year and I got hooked super fast!

2 BROKE GIRLS
We started watching this a few years ago and we just think it is hilarious...it's definitely a little edgy, but oh my it is funny!

NCIS:  NEW ORLEANS
This is definitely one of our favorites!  I am not a huge fan of the original NCIS but this one along with NCIS Los Angeles are definitely my favorites!  Love special agent LaSalle:)

Would love to know what you guys are watching this fall, and would love to know what I am missing....besides Scandal!

Have a great Wednesday!

Tuesday Talk....

Happy Tuesday Ladies!

So true!

If you read my post yesterday, I had mentioned we are heading out of town this weekend, and though little weekend getaways are fun, this one isn't all fun and games!

I have talked before about my husband and how much he loves his job!  He really does, he absolutely LOVES what he does for a living, and he is always looking how to better himself in his career and further it.  He got a phone call a few weeks ago about a company that is interested in him, we discussed it together and together decided the opportunity seems amazing, and it is definitely worth looking into.  The only drawback....the job would relocate us to another state.  I am definitely excited about the opportunity, and what it would mean for not only Mark, but for all of us, but a part of me is definitely a bit sad about the possibility of moving so far away.

This Saturday I will have lived here in NC for ten years, and it's definitely become "home" for me.  This has been the place where my little boys have practically grown up, this is the place my sweet Olivia was born, this is the place where I met my husband and have made so many happy memories.  I am so lucky to have my mom living close by, and my brother and sister in law too.  The thought of being 10 hours away from them all definitely makes me a bit sad, but I also know that the greatest gain usually comes from the greatest risk.

I am so super proud of my husband and how hard he works every single day.  I am 100% supportive of him, and so incredibly thankful that my thoughts and opinions on this subject mattered so much to him.  We truly are a team, and I know that if I told him I just couldn't make a move like this, he would be OK with that.  I would never ever hold him back from an amazing opportunity, and though the thought of packing up and starting a new life is crazy scary, knowing that I get to do it all with him and our 5 kiddos makes it a little less scary!

So Friday morning we will be up early, heading out of town for what could be the start of a new chapter in our lives.  We are both excited and nervous, but really looking forward to see what the future might hold for us!  By this time next week I will know if we are staying put or packing up!

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday Ladies!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

We had a great weekend...the only thing that would have made it better was if it wasn't so HOT!  I am so over these crazy hot temperatures!

Friday morning I got the kids off to school and spent some time home doing some laundry and picking up around the house!  After I was done with that, I met a girlfriend for lunch.  There is nothing better than catching up with a great girlfriend over a delicious Quizno's sub!

I was super excited to wear my new shirt from Be Still Clothing , they really have some super adorable stuff!  Stressed, Blessed, and Coffee Obsessed pretty much sums up my life perfectly!

After a yummy lunch with a great friend I ran into Target for a few things........

and of course left with some Shopkins!

Friday night we hung out, watched TV and the kids colored for hours!!!

They colored their little hearts out...and all their artwork was perfect!  Low key but super great Friday night!

Saturday morning I was hoping to sleep in a bit, but Olivia decided waking up at 7:15 was a great idea!

I picked up this t-shirt over the summer at the Gap Outlet and I just love it.  I mean it makes getting dressed on the weekends so easy!  And I can't rave enough about my Monogrammed Converse....definitely check out Crystal Faye and get yourself a pair...they are so cute!

I ran a few errands before AJ's game Saturday afternoon, and I hate getting gas...it's just one of those things I hate doing, and usually wait until I have about 3 miles to empty before I get it!

However...being able to fill up my car for under $30.00 makes me really happy!

It was crazy hot here this weekend, and AJ's game was at 3:00...it was miserably hot sitting in the stands!

I am so proud of Harrison for giving up so much of his free time to coach youth football!  The kids on the team just love him!

Getting ready to start the game....running through the banner is always so much fun!

My little guy #8...he played AWESOME!  He had a 30 yard run for a touchdown, and he also made the extra point!  They lost, but my boy gave 110% and played his heart out!

The bond my boys have is truly amazing...I am so thankful!

Love my #8

Saturday night Mark brought home a Chick Fill A Platter for dinner and we ate lots of nuggets, and watched TV...it was the perfect way to end the day!

Sunday morning we got up and got the boys ready and took them to the Drag Races!  My boys LOVE going to the races, and the drags are their favorites to go to!

My sweet little guys!

Brothers!

I loved how they matched their outfits!

These races are crazy loud...but so exciting!

I love these two so much!

This driver is the nicest guy!  He always takes so much time talking and interacting with the fans!  My boys look forward to seeing him each year!

AJ practicing to be the next American Ninja Warrior!

AJ chatting with the security guard...AJ has NEVER met a stranger!

They became fast friends!

This kid cracks me up!

After another crazy hot afternoon outside, we headed home, grilled out and watched some football!

The night ended once again with LOTS of coloring!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  We have a super crazy week ahead, and we are heading out of town next weekend....more on that later this week!

Have a great Monday!
