Hello Ladies! Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend!
Not gonna lie....this just makes me HAPPY!
It's always tough hearing that alarm go off after a nice long holiday weekend! We had a really great weekend, and it was so nice to have a weekend off from baseball. You guys know how much I LOVE watching AJ play ball, but I would be lying if I didn't look forward to those rare tournament free weekends.
We had another jam packed weekend, that included very little sleep and a little too much alcohol and fun!
Our original plans were to take the little kids up to the race track with us and camp out, but seeing as no one else was bringing children, we decided it probably wasn't the best environment to bring them to.
I spent most of Friday packing up all the things Mark and I would need for the weekend, and making sure I had everything situated for the little kids.
I quickly snapped this picture Friday on my way up to the track, it wasn't long before a gazillion people were up there....complete craziness!
We camp at some property that my husband's company owns, it is such a super fun time...the pool, the fire, good friends....pretty close to perfect in my book.
Everyone just having fun around the fire.
On Saturday, Mark had to work, so I woke up super early and drove back home to spend some time with the little kids. It's always nice getting time away, but I do miss them terribly!
This girl was up bright and early and we spent some time on the deck just chatting...she is precious!
Her friend had to stop by and show Olivia all her new Shopkins, it was pretty intense
Super sweet Shopkins loving friends.
My boys at Panera...it's our favorite.
These two!!
After some lunch and shopping, I brought them back home, they were super excited to get to just hang out with their big sis that night!
I got back up to the campground before Mark was done working so I was able to catch a nap and it was fabulous!
Once everyone got off work, the fun resumed!
One of my friends happened to be in town from PA for the race, and I was so excited it all worked out that we got to see each other! It is always so fun seeing old friends!
Such a fun night!
Sunday morning I was up at 6 a.m., to head back home, Brooke had to go into work, so I headed back to hang out with the littles.
Another lunch date with my crew...Olivia was too busy chatting with the waitress for a picture.
I am not even ashamed that I ate this entire plate...it was delicious!
After lunch and laundry I loaded them up to spend the night at my mom's house! I am so thankful for my mom...she is the absolute best, and my kiddos have the best time going to grandmas!
My hubby and my son....love them both so much!
I am so thankful for Mark...he is such an amazing husband and father...there are no words to describe how much I love this man!
We opted to not go to the big race Sunday...it is a very long race, and we were just exhausted! When everyone left to head out to the track, we decided to go to dinner...
This dessert was so flippin' good! Toffee cake, with caramel, butterscotch, rum sauce and ice cream...heaven in a skillet for sure!
As we were driving back from dinner to the campground we both kinda looked at each other and just said how exhausted we were. We had such a fabulous time these past two weekends, but partying at our age is a heck of a lot different than when we were 20! We got back to our camper, put on our sweats, popped a bag of popcorn and sat on the couch and watched the race. It was SO nice to just relax!
The perfect ending to a perfect weekend...my husband asleep on me!
Monday I spent the day grocery shopping, doing laundry, and getting things ready for the week! The past two weekends have been an absolute BLAST, however, I am so ready to be back in "mommy mode"!
See you back here tomorrow for a few of my favorites that I have been wearing lately!
