Let's Talk

Hello Girls!

YES!!

Today we are talking about our favorite fall things!  Fall has always, hands down, been my favorite season!  Cooler temps, football, lots of yummy crockpot meals, and pumpkin spice everything!  Falls in NJ were just amazing, then we moved to NC, and though they were not as awesome as Jersey fall, I still really looked forward the season....now we are even further south, and I am thinking the cooler temps that usually come with fall, will not be!  We moved at the end of October last year, and it was still HOT! 

Regardless of how hot I know it is still going to be here for the next few months, I am going with the season, and just going to disregard the temps!

So here are a few of my favorite fall things......

Every year, I feel like it is officially fall when I have my first PSL! 

I burn the same candle from Anthro pretty much year round...however during the fall months, I LOVE the 3-wick candles from Bath and Body....they are so reasonably priced and smell AMAZING!!!

And I just happened to be at Anthro this weekend, and they had my favorite fall candle out, so of course I snagged it!

If you asked me what fall smells like, I would say this Pumpkin soufflé candle!  I could have sworn last year they were $16...and now they are $18...so that was very disappointing! 

I wish these holiday creamers would stick around all year long!  I always look forward to the day when I walk into the store and see them!  The peppermint mocha and iced sugar cookie are my faves!

Fall & Football....my absolute favorite thing about fall!  Go Panthers....Go Jets!

Super cute booties are a fall favorite!

I am a huge fan of the crockpot...I love throwing everything in there in the morning, and then come dinner time, the meal is done, and I don't really have to do a thing other than serve it!  During the fall and winter months I probably use my crockpot 4 times a week!

When I think fall, I think apples.  Back in NJ we would always go apple picking each fall, and it was one of my favorite things to do.  Though I don't go apple picking anymore, I still love making yummy apple pies and applesauce all fall long!  One of our favorites is homemade apple sauce in the crockpot!

There are certain shows we just LOVE over here, and with fall comes all our favorites series starting back up again! 

I usually always have a very neutral color on my nails, but during the fall, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark is my favorite! 

Now all this talk about fall has me itching to break out all my fall décor!  Cannot wait to see what everyone's favorite fall things are!  Thanks for stopping by today! 

Friday Favorites

ONE

I decided this week that I just simply cannot put off getting back into a workout routine and eating better.  I have been HORRIBLE the past few months...and the scale can prove it:)  Dieting is HARD, and I will fail if I feel like I am depriving myself.  I am a firm believer in everything in moderation, and lately, moderation hasn't been in my vocabulary!  I have been eating two salads a day, and I am OBSESSED with this dressing...it is delicious!  If you guys have any awesome, healthy meals you are eating, PLEASE share them with me!

TWO

I was super excited to get this little package in the mail this week!  We are definitely looking forward to trying some new recipes!  You guys can preorder Shay's new cookbook here .  If you have not gotten her first two books yet, Meal Planner and Cakes go check them out!  Surprise packages are always a favorite for me!  Thank you Shay !

THREE

I figured before I started my diet, I needed to indulge, and this Banana Pudding ice cream did NOT disappoint.  My favorite banana pudding ice cream is from Front Porch, but I cannot find it here....but this one was pretty darn tasty!  Good thing I ate the entire container in a matter of a few days, so the temptation is gone:)

FOUR

Last weekend we had a little staycation, and we had the BEST time.  We stayed in a hotel about 3 minutes from our house, and just spent the weekend swimming and hanging out...it was such a fun little time, and it was nice to just spend some quality time, all 7 of us!  The kids are already asking when we can do it again...it is definitely something will do again!

FIVE

My new planner just arrived this week and I am LOVING it.  Two years ago I used the Erin Condren planner, and then I started using the Emily Ley Simplified Planner...and I did love them both...however they were both definitely pricey for a planner!  One of our goals this year has been to really watch what we spend, and save more money.  I decided that purchasing a planner for $50-60 just wasn't a necessity for me this year.  That being said, I did still want something super cute, that wouldn't break the bank.  I had given Brooke a Lilly planner last year for Christmas and she LOVED it.  So I decided to order myself one this year, and I am so glad I did!!  This is the exact one I ordered, but honestly all of them were bright, fun and cute!

I love everything about this planner...especially the price tag...only $24.00!

SIX

These are hands down my favorite colored pens to use in my planner!  I always order them from Amazon, and they are awesome and don't bleed through the page!  Get them!

So those are my favorites for this week!  We have some running around to do this weekend, and lots to get done in the house and yard too!  We are super excited that my mom will be here Thursday, and then we are heading to the beach for 4 days!  Hope you all have a great weekend!

ONE

My favorite candle comes from Anthropologie.  I love love love the Volcano candle.  I burn them all the time, year round..my favorite.  I don't have an Anthro store close by, so I usually end up ordering from the website...and I don't know about you, but I hate paying for shipping, and I think theirs is high!  I found this one on Amazon, and figured I would give it a try..it was only $1 cheaper than the one from Anthro, but all I paid was $27..no tax or shipping!!!  I just received it Wednesday and have burned it a bit, and it does smell just like the one from Anthro.  Do you any of you guys have this candle?  Curious to know if it burns as well as the Anthro one. 

I looked at the bottom of each, and they seem almost identical!  Hoping I love this as much as the one from Anthro!  If you guys have it, let me know your thoughts!

TWO

I love a good neutral nail polish.  My go to for a few years has been OPI Funny Bunny, it is the perfect color, in my opinion.  I definitely like a more white than pink nail.  For the past two years I have been doing my own nails, but I just recently decided to start having them done again.  I love the gel, and love it lasts more than a few days!  I had been going to one of the little walk in places by me, and they just were not doing a great job.  They always seemed rushed, and it was extremely hard to communicate with them!  I decided to try the salon where I get my hair done...surprisingly it was only $5 more than the other place, so I was pretty happy about that!  This salon, however, only uses the CND Shellac, and I couldn't find the perfect white polish there...so I hit up Amazon, and found the perfect color, it is called Studio White, and it is my new favorite!  If you do Shellac and are looking for an awesome color, you can find the one I am wearing here !

THREE

I read Me Before You, back in January...I loved the book, but was super disappointed in the ending.  I just started reading After You , and so far I am liking it!  I haven't done much reading the past few months, but am looking forward to trying to read at least one book a month.  Please share your "must" reads with me!

FOUR

I love a cute t-shirt, and I always love supporting other women and their small businesses!

This tank...I just love it!  I have ordered a few t-shirts from them, and I just love them...and they are so soft!  You can check out all the adorable tees and tanks here .

And well, we all know how much I love football...I am a JETS fan, but also have a VERY strong love for the Carolina Panthers!

How cute is this little sparkly monogram tee!  I am super ready for September 8 to watch the Panthers kick off the season!  If you are a Carolina Panthers fan you can get yourself a cute little tee here .

Those are my favorites this week!  The boys have now been in school a little over a week, and they are adjusting well.  Jack is really loving high school, and doesn't seem to mind getting up at 5 am each day!  Me on the other hand..holy cow....it sucks!  I am really hoping to start going to the gym for an hour each morning when he leaves for school.

So I have pretty much sucked when it comes to blogging.  This past week has just been crazy busy trying to get the boys ready to go back to school, and well then I have to prioritize, the blog usually always falls to the bottom of the list!

ONE

A foodie, I am NOT...a good food photographer...I am NOT...however I love delicious food!  Last Friday Mark made us a delicious dinner, and we ended it with a yummy dessert!  Date nights in, and my hubs being a kick ass cook...yup....a FAVORITE!

TWO

Peppermint Mocha...my favorite to get at Starbucks, and it's my favorite creamer to add to my coffee at home.  I saw some at Walmart, and grabbed a few!  Delicious coffee is a favorite!

THREE

Chico and AJ...AJ loves playing with the pup!

FOUR

AJ on his first day of 7th grade...this kid drives me crazy most of the time..but he makes me laugh every single day, and I know he is going to own 7th grade!

And my Jack....this boy has been such a joy since day 1.  I was a nervous wreck as he left for the bus stop for his first day of high school....yup...high school...how the heck is that even possible??  He came home and really loved everything about it.  He has a schedule FULL of all honors classes, but I know he is going to have an amazing, successful freshman year!

FIVE

Waking up at this ungodly hour is NOT my favorite....

...but a little quiet time, a cozy blanket and some coffee is!

SIX

This girl....I had a flat tire, so we had to run and have a new tire put on before school, and I just loved having a few extra minutes with her before school! 

SEVEN

I snagged a few more things during the last few days of the anniversary sale, and I grabbed these sneakers, and I am loving them.  They arrived yesterday, and they are super lightweight!  They are still available, but sadly not on sale anymore:(  I ordered some new workout gear during the sale, so I am really hoping it gives me the motivation I need to get my butt in gear and start working out again!

EIGHT

I know it is only pre-season...but it is still football...and football season is my FAVORITE!
