Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Girls!

ONE

In our front yard we have a bunch of pineapples growing, and this past week, we picked one...and let me tell you....BEST pineapple I have ever tasted!  We have about 10 more out there right now, and we cannot wait for them to be ripe and ready to eat!

 

 

TWO

Chico got fixed last Saturday, and well even though he isn't a fan of his cone, I think he looks super cute with it!  That being said, I will be happy when we can take it off him!

 

 

THREE

Pineapple anything is a FAVORITE for me, and these adorable little stemless wine glasses are a for sure favorite...best part, I got the set of 4 for under $10 at Marshalls!  cute glasses at a steal is a for sure favorite!

 

 

FOUR

On Sunday we celebrated Mark!  If you read here, you know I tend to brag about him A LOT!  He is a really wonderful husband, but he is an even better father.  When I was going through my divorce I was scared that my kids would really suffer, I hated the fact that they wouldn't get to grow up having a constant dad in their life.  My ex-husband is a really great guy, but he lives very far away, and the kids just don't get to see him near enough, and it sucks!  Mark, from day one, has been an incredible dad to them.  He couldn't love these 5 kids anymore if they were his own flesh and blood.  My kids are so incredibly lucky to be loved by this man.  Every day I wake up knowing how extremely lucky I am to have been able to find a wonderful man to share my life with, how ridiculously blessed my kids are to have such an awesome man around to be their dad!  I know second marriages can be hard sometimes, and blending families even harder, and we all just blended together so effortlessly!  He is always hands down my favorite favorite!

 

 

FIVE

 

Back in the spring I signed up for the FabFitFun Box, and I loved pretty much every single item that came with it.  The summer box just arrived this week, and it was every bit of AWESOME!  The awesome Trina Turk beach tote and this super cute towel are my favorites from the box!  In my opinion, definitely worth the $49.99!

 

 

SIX

I am a big bag girl, I love carrying a big bag to throw all my crap in, but when we are out for the day, at a race, concert, etc...I like having my hands free!  I have been wanting this LV crossbody bag for the longest time.  It is definitely pricey, and well it was not a priority, well last week Mark said "babe if you want the bag, get the bag"....and I am LOVING it!  I have used it pretty much every day since I have gotten it!  It doesn't hold a ton, but it holds my essentials!  Definitely my favorite this week!

Not sure what we have planned this weekend, hopefully something low key!  Next weekend we are headed to Daytona for the NASCAR race and we are pretty excited about that!

Friday Favorites

ONE

Neutral nails are my absolute favorite, it is very rare I have a bold color on my nails, and if I do, it is usually always OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.  OPI Funny Bunny has been my "go to" neutral for about a year now, I just love it.  A few weeks ago I picked up OPI Let's Be Friends, and I thought it went on really thick and it just didn't look great.  I was disappointed.  I jumped on Amazon and ordered this thinner, and it is my FAVORITE!  I just put a few drops in the bottle, shake it up, and the polish goes on so much better!  If you have the same issue with your polish at home, go grab some of this awesome stuff!

 

 

TWO

A week or so ago I picked up this candle from Anthro, and it smells awesome!  The coconut water scent was pretty amazing too! 

 

 

THREE

My mom...always my favorite!  My mom is retiring at the end of this month, and last weekend they had a little celebration for her.  I was so disappointed I couldn't be there to celebrate her.  My mom...she is beautiful, the best person I know.  She is truly my best friend...she is just hands down amazing! 

 

 

FOUR

Last weekend we introduced AJ to crab legs..he was hesitant to try them, well we talked him into trying a small piece...and well he LOVED them.  He asked if we could have them more often.  Smart kid and crab legs are a favorite of mine for sure!

 

 

FIVE

Chico's favorite is Mark!  And these two are a few of my favorites!

 

 

SIX

I got my first pair of Converse last year, I ordered them online and had them monogrammed...they are so cute, but seriously so darn uncomfortable.  They KILLED my feet, which totally bummed me out.  I heard some great things about these Shoreline Converse, and well my friend Heather, told me they had some select colors on sale at Nordstrom.  I ordered  a light blue color, (they don't seem to be available at this time) and they were only $27!  They should be arriving any day now...I really hope they are comfy!  I'll keep you posted!

 

 

SEVEN

You guys know our move has not been an easy transition for me.  It has really taken me a LONG time to really adjust to our new life.  We really do live in a beautiful place, and having so much beauty around me has definitely helped.  I dropped Olivia off at VBS the other morning, and just drove over to the park in town, sat on a bench with some sweet tea, and just sat there for about an hour looking at the water.  It was so peaceful and so quiet.  I really do feel blessed to live where we live. 

 

Those are my faves for the week.  I am looking forward to the weekend...no work for Mark...YAY!  We are going to spend the weekend celebrating Mark an the awesome dad that he is!  Hope y'all enjoy your weekend! 

 





Friday Favorites

Happy Fri-yay Ladies!

 

I have been a major SLACKER with the blog lately!  The kids are home for summer, and we have just been enjoying lazy mornings, and just spending our time together hanging out during the days, and by the time night comes around, I just want to sit and hang out with Mark and watch some TV...so blogging is taking a back seat and I am OK with that.  Family for sure comes first!

ONE

We have had rain every single day this week, literally EVERY SINGLE DAY....and I have been enjoying my coffee in the mornings, outside just listening to the rain.  I was at Anthro last week and snagged this adorable little mug for $5! 

 

 

TWO

On Monday, we had heavy rain and some crazy wind, so we needed to bring in everything from our lanai, and when I walked into the kitchen I was loving the little fort Olivia made for Chico using our cushions and poufs from out back.  All her little creations are a favorite for sure!

 

 

THREE

I love all things cork, and I was super excited to snag these super cute little cork sandals for under $50...they are normally $74.95, definitely a great deal!  I love them, and they are super comfy!  I believe they are still on sale so if you want a cute pair of sandals, go check them out...they had lots of fun colors available!  I did size up 1/2 size in these!

 

 

FOUR

Olivia has had a VBS this week from 430-730 and she has been LOVING it!  She is signed up for one next week in the mornings....seeing her happy and excited is always a favorite!

 

 

FI VE

This Mac and Cheese from Trader Joe's is a favorite over here for all of us!  If you have never tried it, and have a TJ close to you, do yourself a favor and go grab some!  Trust me you will LOVE it!

 

 

SIX

I know the top is a bit wrinkly, I just took it out of the washer to snap a quick pic...but these pajamas are very much my FAVORITE!!!  And the very best part...I got these at WalMart for $9.97 for the set...yes both pieces for under $10...and if you read here regularly you know how much I love pajamas, and you guys these are awesome and they are really soft!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

 

 

 



SEVEN

When we were at the beach a few weeks ago our condo had a Mr. Coffee coffee pot in the kitchen, and my morning coffee was so delish.  We have had a Keurig for YEARS, and I loved it, however we do drink a lot of coffee, and so it wasn't very economical.  On the way home from the beach we stopped at Target and I picked up my new red Mr. Coffee....and I am LOVING it so much!  I just get it all ready at night and then set the timer, and we wake up to a nice fresh pot of hot coffee.   And I am saving lots of money not buying Kcups.  Of course after I got this little coffee pot all set up, my kids informed me I could have bought something to use regular coffee in my Keurig...oh well.  I am loving my new pot and it is a favorite for sure!

 

 

EIGHT

When I was at Trader Joes I snagged some of the prettiest tulips, and I know the penny trick will keep them more upright, but I kind of love them just falling all over the place!  Pretty flowers are a for sure favorite for me.

 

So those are my favorites for the week.  Mark has to work Saturday...BOO...and other than that I am not sure what we have going on for the weekend!  I am hoping we have ZERO rain in the forecast!  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend!
