Our St. Patty's Day Decor

Hello Ladies!  It has been a LONG time since I have blogged.  I am just having the hardest time getting in a groove lately!  Life has been CRAZY the last few months!

We are on Spring Break this week and I couldn't be happier!  My sweet Olivia turns 10 tomorrow, so this is going to be a GREAT week for us!

Today I thought it would be fun to share our St. Patrick's Day decor...I love all holidays, and love having fun, festive touches around the house!  Pretty much all of my Easter, Valentines, and St. Patrick's Day decor has all come from the dollar spot at Target over the years.  I love being able to have festive decor without having to spend a lot of money.

The banner and pom pom garland and that cute little striped Shamrock pillow all came from the dollar spot.  The larger pillow I picked up a few years ago from Kohls and I love it.

This table is my favorite piece in my home.  This table was in our kitchen growing up, so it is super special to me.  It is always fun to add fun little touches to this table.

It looks so pretty at night!

The only decor in the dining room is the little wooden Shamrock and some holiday napkins.

This little bench is Chico's favorite spot in the whole house, he jumps up there daily and messes up all the pillows!

I didn't do too much in the kitchen, just some placemats and a few little shamrock wood signs around.

It isn't much, but it is just enough!  And on March 18 this will all come down and up Easter will go.

And just for fun here are a few pics from our Valentine's Day decor......

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I am hoping to get my act together and blog more frequently, I definitely miss this little space and all of you!  Hope you guys have a great start to the week!

Kimm

My Go-To Nail Colors

Hello Ladies!

Hope you are all having a great week...and yay for being halfway through it!

I know I am not the only one who can relate to this!!!

There is just something about having a great manicure that just makes me happy!  As far back as I can remember I have always loved nail polish, and I can't remember a time that my nails were naked!  Many years ago I had the full on acrylic nails, super long, sometimes bright neon and crazy designs, then I jumped on the pink and white band wagon, then I did them myself for a while, and now I am a shellac/gel girl.  I don't love sitting and getting my nails done, and I love that getting the gel, there is ZERO drying time!  And I love that I get a full two weeks, sometimes more, out of it.

I am pretty basic when it comes to my nails, and I find myself constantly wearing the same colors over and over again...ZERO variety over here!  During the winter months I pretty much wear black or OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.  During the holidays this past year I had them done red, with my ring finger gold, and though it was cute I couldn't wait to get back to the salon and have it taken off and go back to my "go-to".

99% of the time I wear a very neutral color..and I feel like I have tried them all!  It took me a long time, but I seriously think I found the two BEST neutrals out there!  Because I love what I love, I always bring my own polish with me.

My go-to's!

This is hands down my FAVORITE color to wear....CND Shellac in Studio White ...it is not too white...it is perfect!

OPI Let's Be Friends is another absolute favorite of mine.  It is the perfect pink/white color and so great for spring.

As much as I love these light colors, I would always find that after about a week they would yellow a bit, and that made me NUTS!  So what I do to prevent them from yellowing is when I get home from the salon, I put one coat of clear polish over them, just cheap Sally Hansen clear I grabbed at Walgreens.  And every few days I just take a cotton ball with some non-acetone nail polish remover and take the clear top coat off, wash my hands, and just re-apply the clear again....and it works.  My nails never discolor or yellow at all!  Definitely a great little tip if you love a white/light pink polish but hate it yellowing!

These two products are my other must haves when it comes to my hands/nails.  The Aveda Hand Relief is the BEST hand cream there is.  A little goes a long way, and my hands are always smooth and soft!  My other must have is CND Solar Oil , it really helps keep my cuticles looking good and not dry.

I am always looking for great neutral nail colors, so if you have a favorite, or a favorite product for your hands or nails...please share with me!

#truth!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  See you back here soon!

Kimm

A Few Of My Favorite Things

Hello Ladies!

Hope you are all having a great start to 2017!  My mom left yesterday after being here for 5 days, and I have two days and then the kid's dad arrives Thursday for a visit, so I will be busy getting ready for round 2 of company over the next few days!

Today I am going to share with you a few of my favorite things I bought/received last year.  These are things that I have and love...and I always love when people share their favorite things, so today I am sharing mine!

KITCHEN AID

I have wanted this mixer, but never really wanted to spend the money...well it was on sale, and an extra 20% off from Cartwheel, so Mark and I decided we should get it....and we are LOVING it!  I love to bake, and this has made it so much easier.  I have only made cookie dough so far, but I am super excited to start making more things!    Definitely one of my favorites.

CROSSBODY BAG
I know I am LATE to the game, but I got my first ever cross body bag this past summer, and I don't know why it took me so long to get one!  For years I have always carried a BIG bag, and I love that I can just throw all my stuff in there, however when I am out for the day carrying a bag was becoming a huge pain.  I love my crossbody bag , having my hands free, and carrying just what I need.  Now I know this LV bag is a little pricey, but for me, it is one of those things that I know I will have forever and will definitely get my money's worth.

INSULATED CUP
This cup is AMAZING!  I got Brooke a pink one, and it works just as good as the Yeti cup, and in my opinion is just so much cuter!  I ordered the guacamole color for myself.  I don't drink nearly enough water, and when I do it has to be ice cold, so having this cup definitely makes drinking water easier for me because it keeps it cold for HOURS.  If you are looking for a great insulated cup to keep your drinks ice cold definitely check it out here , they have tons of colors to choose from!

LIGHT MOROCCAN OIL
I have been using Moroccan Oil for a few years now and absolutely love it, and my hair cannot live without it.  Over the summer my stylist recommended I use the "light" moroccan oil...up until then I never even knew that existed.  I have been using the light since mid summer and love it just as much as the original.  If you have lighter hair, and use Moroccan oil...give the light a try.  You can find it here .

BOOTIES
I love shoes, I especially love booties!  When I saw these booties online I knew they would be perfect for Florida.  I ordered them online, and when I received them the lining was coming up in the right shoe, so I sent them back and they sent me a new pair, well the second pair arrived and the same thing happened, so back they went and a new pair was on it's way to me.  I said if the third pair had the same problem I was returning and not exchanging them...well you know what they say...third times a charm..and that was the case for these super cute booties.  I absolutely love them, they are super comfortable and I wear them all the time.  These are the PERFECT little bootie for warm weather winters!

ZELLA CROP LEGGINGS
If you read here, then you know I am all about comfort, and these leggings are just that!  These leggings are crazy soft and so comfortable.  I have quite a few pair of Zella Capri and crop leggings, and hands down these are my absolute favorite!  I am not a fan of the Live In full length leggings, they are just too long on me, and I don't consider myself short...I am 5'5".  If you are looking for a great pair of leggings, you need to check these out!

APPLE WATCH

Probably my favorite purchase last year was my Apple Watch .  When they first came out I had no interest, but I wear this watch every single day...since I got it back in May, I have not worn any other watch...I love it.  I have the larger size (42mm) rose gold aluminum.  The only thing that I am disappointed in is that most of the replacement bands all have silver clasps, etc...but other than that, there is nothing that I don't love about this watch.  If you have been on the fence about purchasing one, I HIGHLY recommend it!

NIKE SNEAKERS
These Nikes are a big favorite!  I have never been a fan of a black tennis shoe, but these had me at rose gold...they are fabulous.  I have worn them way more often that I thought I would.  They are lightweight and super comfortable.  I am always an 8 in sneakers, and the 8 in these fit me perfectly.  I highly recommend these if you are in the market for some new sneakers!  I am hoping they give me some extra motivation to be a little more active:)

BABY BLARDIGAN
I snagged the baby blardigan during the Anniversary Sale, and I am so glad that I did!  I originally bought the Indigo, and the color was fabulous, but it shed like CRAZY...I exchanged it and at the time the Indigo was sold out so I have the grey, and I wear it more often that I thought I would living in a warmer climate.  A part of me is wishing I waited for the Indigo to come back in stock, because it was so pretty!  If you are looking for something super comfy and crazy soft you should definitely check it out!

FAB FIT FUN BOX
After seeing lots of IG posts of the FabFitFun Box , I decided to give it a try, and I am so glad I did!  The box in the pic above is the box I got in the spring, and I loved everything in it.  If you don't know about FabFitFun, 4 times a year...Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, you will get a delivery of a box with FULL SIZE products for only $49.99...they just bill your credit card 4x a year and ship you your box..and you can cancel your subscription anytime!  This was definitely a little splurge for me, but it really is so nice to get this fun little box each season.  I have gotten 4 boxes so far, and I can't think of anything that I didn't like in any of the boxes.  If you're looking to pamper yourself a little bit in 2017, definitely check it out here .

BISSELL SWEEPER
I have blogged about this sweeper before, and I still LOVE it and use it every single day!  This little sweeper was under $40, and it is amazing.  Since I have gotten this, I don't think I have used a broom and dustpan...which is awesome.  I use it daily in my kitchen, and use it often to sweep up Chico hair from our lanai.  I have also used it for quick clean ups on our carpet and it works awesome.  I don't know about you, but everytime I would try and sweep my pile in the dustpan, there would always be crap that just didn't make it into the dust pan...well this little sweeper solves that problem...it picks up every last crumb!  If you are looking for something to make clean up a little easier, you need to check this out!

So there are just a few of my favorite things from 2016!  If you guys have something that you can't live without or helps make your life easier let me know in the comments!

Be sure to check back tomorrow, I will be sharing a yummy French toast recipe!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Favorite Things Party...Favorite Organizational Tool

Happy Monday Ladies!

Be sure to check back tomorrow, I will be sharing our Weekend Wrap-Up...Christmas Edition!  But today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for their "Favorite Things Party" link up...be sure to grab the graphic and link up too!

Today we are sharing our favorite organizational tools!  If you guys have been reading here for a while you know how much I love a good planner.  I have an iPhone, and I know it can do pretty much anything for me, but I am totally old school, and still love to actually write things down..I am a big list maker too!

Last year, I bought the Erin Condren planner, and I liked it, but then this past spring I got the Simplified Planner and I loved it so much I got another one for 2016!  They are a little pricey, but in my opinion, it is totally worth it!  My life is in my planner!

This was my 2015 planner!

For 2016 I decided to go with the adorable Pineapple print cover..it is adorable!

The whole month in view

Each day has its own page..I love that..and I love the space for notes, lists, and dinner!

Can't wait to fill out my 2016 "bucket list"

The planner this year was a bit smaller than the one for 2015, and I love that!

We are a BUSY family....and having everything organized is key for us!

I also am a huge fan of the Erin Condren schedule pad , I fill ours out each week and stick it on the fridge...it helps the kids stay organized...and they know what they have going on each day...and I always put "what's for dinner" on the bottom line of each day!

We love this!

Stabilo Point 88 Pen Sets color parade adjustable set set of 20
These pens are my FAVORITE to use with my planner and our weekly schedule pad!

So pretty much my planner and schedule pad are my favorite organizational tool!  If you are a "planner" girl, you should definitely check out the Simplified Planner!  I got Brooke a Lilly planner for Christmas...she loves it and I was pretty impressed with it myself...and the price!!

Can't wait to hear what everyone uses to help keep them organized!

Be sure to check back tomorrow...I'll be recapping our Christmas weekend!
