Friday Favorites

Hello Ladies!

Today I am linking up with Andrea , Erika , and Narci and sharing my Friday Favorites!  Be sure to grab the graphic and link up too!

ONE
I always have a candle burning...and the Volcano candle from Anthro will always be my favorite, but this yummy scent from Circle E Candles is quickly becoming a favorite!  When you walk in my house you can smell it, but it is not too overpowering!  If you are looking for a great new candle for spring and summer...check it out!

TWO

I am loving my new laptop skin...if you are looking for something fun to add to your laptop, you should check out all the fun designs here .

THREE
We are a big YETI family over here..the products are a little pricey, but in our opinion they are totally worth it.  We have been using the colster for over a year now, every single day and we swear by them!  They keep your drinks in a can ice cold!  We also have a soft cooler that we love and is AMAZING!  Just last week I got this super cute pink powder coated rambler and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.  We use a Keurig and though the coffee comes out hot, I find that if I don't drink it quick enough I have to stick it in the microwave to reheat it...well not when I use this fun little pink cup...it seriously keeps my coffee hot for HOURS!

FOUR
Last weekend we packed up St. Patrick's Day and brought out the Easter/spring stuff...fun little holiday touches around the house are always a favorite of mine!

FIVE
Last week we celebrated St. Patrick's Day...and our Corned Beef dinner was our FAVORITE!

SIX
Great looking nails are always my favorite...you can read all about my go to colors here !

I am so glad my hubby isn't working this weekend...not sure what we have planned yet, but I am just glad we can be together all weekend!  Hope you all have a great weekend.  See you back here next week.

My Go-To Nail Colors

Hello Ladies!

Hope you are all having a great week...and yay for being halfway through it!

I know I am not the only one who can relate to this!!!

There is just something about having a great manicure that just makes me happy!  As far back as I can remember I have always loved nail polish, and I can't remember a time that my nails were naked!  Many years ago I had the full on acrylic nails, super long, sometimes bright neon and crazy designs, then I jumped on the pink and white band wagon, then I did them myself for a while, and now I am a shellac/gel girl.  I don't love sitting and getting my nails done, and I love that getting the gel, there is ZERO drying time!  And I love that I get a full two weeks, sometimes more, out of it.

I am pretty basic when it comes to my nails, and I find myself constantly wearing the same colors over and over again...ZERO variety over here!  During the winter months I pretty much wear black or OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.  During the holidays this past year I had them done red, with my ring finger gold, and though it was cute I couldn't wait to get back to the salon and have it taken off and go back to my "go-to".

99% of the time I wear a very neutral color..and I feel like I have tried them all!  It took me a long time, but I seriously think I found the two BEST neutrals out there!  Because I love what I love, I always bring my own polish with me.

My go-to's!

This is hands down my FAVORITE color to wear....CND Shellac in Studio White ...it is not too white...it is perfect!

OPI Let's Be Friends is another absolute favorite of mine.  It is the perfect pink/white color and so great for spring.

As much as I love these light colors, I would always find that after about a week they would yellow a bit, and that made me NUTS!  So what I do to prevent them from yellowing is when I get home from the salon, I put one coat of clear polish over them, just cheap Sally Hansen clear I grabbed at Walgreens.  And every few days I just take a cotton ball with some non-acetone nail polish remover and take the clear top coat off, wash my hands, and just re-apply the clear again....and it works.  My nails never discolor or yellow at all!  Definitely a great little tip if you love a white/light pink polish but hate it yellowing!

These two products are my other must haves when it comes to my hands/nails.  The Aveda Hand Relief is the BEST hand cream there is.  A little goes a long way, and my hands are always smooth and soft!  My other must have is CND Solar Oil , it really helps keep my cuticles looking good and not dry.

I am always looking for great neutral nail colors, so if you have a favorite, or a favorite product for your hands or nails...please share with me!

#truth!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  See you back here soon!

xoxo,
Kimm

My favorite favorite this week was celebrating my sweet girl turning 9!

I got some new pineapple sheets for our bed, and anything pineapple is my favorite!  These are a microfiber sheet set from Target, and they were only $29 for the king size set.  We have been using them about a week now and so far we are loving them...they are crazy soft!  King size sheets that are not $100+....definitely a favorite!

This bath bomb....my favorite this week!

FOUR

Mark and I took a little day trip last Sunday, and this beautiful blue water was my FAVORITE!

The drinks, the nachos and the lunch view were also my favorite!

FIVE
This guy is my favorite...I'm so thankful he makes us a priority.  Spending one on one time with him is my favorite!

SIX
Since we don't have school today, Olivia sported all her St. Patrick's Day attire on Thursday.  Her looking super cute is my favorite!

And Bella was awfully cute sporting her little St. Patrick's Day bow!

Tonight we are going to enjoy some Corned Beef and Cabbage, and then enjoy a low key weekend home. Hope you all have a great weekend!  See you back here next week!

Royally Waiting Link Up

Hello Ladies!

Today I am linking up with Shelly , Holly , and Katy for their weekly "Royally Waiting" link up.  You guys should be linking up too!

...and here are the prompts....

Waiting on spring break to hurry up and get here.  Last year our spring break was in March, and this year it is the week before Easter, which seems like SO FAR AWAY!  I am not sure exactly what we will be doing, but I know I am just so looking forward to no early alarms, no homework, no signing agendas and reading logs, and no packing lunches!

Thinking...now I am currently thinking what are we going to do over spring break...ha!

Reading...I started reading "It Ends With Us' a few weeks ago. and have not found the time to finish it...I am only a few chapters in but already am loving it!

Planning...right now Mark and are I trying to plan a little getaway to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary in April.

Listening to Alexa play me country music pretty much all throughout the day lately!

Cooking/eating....lots of salmon and brown rice!  I have been really trying to eat healthier and salmon and brown rice has been my go to for last few weeks for lunch and dinner...and surprisingly I am not sick of it yet!

Celebrating...March has been a busy month for us and we been having fun celebrating mine, Jack's and Olivia's birthday!  Next month we are looking forward to celebrating being married for 5 years!

Feeling...lately I have been feeling a little weepy about my baby turning 9...and yes I realize it sounds so silly being sad....but she is my last baby so it is for sure bittersweet.

Wearing...I have been wearing the heck out of my yellow Tieks, along with a pair of jeans and a comfy tee has been my uniform as of late.

Loving...right now I am really loving the weather.  I have been trying to spend as much time as I can sitting outside.  Our weather is perfect right now, not too hot (but still warmer than I would like) and I know before long the heat and humidity will be here in full force!

Drinking...this beautiful, spring weather has me drinking lots of Peach Green Tea Lemonades from Starbucks...if you have never tried it, trust me you need to go and get yourself one...and then you can thank me later.

Watching...we are currently watching and loving Bull, NCIS, Criminal Minds and Superior Donuts.  If you guys have not yet checked out Superior Donuts, it is on Monday nights, and it's just a fun show.

Texting...always Mark...I am always sending him random things throughout the day!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  See you back here soon.

xoxo,
Kimm

St. Patrick's Day Decor

Hello Ladies!

I am super excited that this is a short week...my kiddos have off Friday and I am super pumped for a long weekend!

I love all holidays...the big ones and even the not so big ones.  I love being able to put out a few decorations for those not so big holidays.  My kids love it, and I love seeing little bits of it around the house.  Since October I feel like a soon as I take one holiday down, the next day the next holiday goes up!  As soon as we took down our Valentine's Day decorations, we busted out a few St. Patty's day decorations.  And then on Saturday they will all get boxed up and we will break out Easter!

We don't have a ton of stuff, just a few things here and there to make our home feel a little festive.  Pretty much every thing I have I either bought at the Dollar Store or the dollar spot in Target...I love that I don't have to spend a lot of money!

This door goes into our home office.  That cute little wooden sign came from the Dollar Store..yup $1!!

This is my FAVORITE table and I always love adding some holiday fun to it.  And I love that the strand of shamrocks lights up...so fun!

I grabbed this cute pillow from Kohls and found the shamrock blanket on Amazon!

Just a fun glittery shamrock for our chalkboard

And a little festiveness for the bar cart

And a few fun touches in our little coffee corner!

Nothing too crazy or over the top, but just enough!  And I can't wait to bring out all our spring and Easter stuff this weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

xoxo,
Kimm

Happy Birthday Olivia Grace

Hello Ladies and Happy Monday!

If you need me today, you will most likely find me in the fetal position, sobbing due to the fact that my baby is turning 9 today.....I am not even sure how it is even remotely possible that my little baby girl is not a baby anymore, and is just a little girl.

I just love this little girl so much!

I always wanted a big family, but we thought we were done after 4....well God had a bigger plan for us..Olivia was the BEST surprise!

The absolute most precious bundle of pink there ever was!

The second they placed my sweet, perfect baby girl in my arms I instantly felt complete...she was the missing piece that I didn't even know was missing from our family.

Of course having a healthy baby was the most important thing to me, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't ridiculously, over the moon happy that I was having a little girl.  After having 3 boys in a row, having all things pink again in my world was perfect!

Being a mother has brought me the absolute greatest joy in life...people often ask me if I regret having so many kids, and having kids at such a young age, if I felt that maybe I missed out on anything, and my answer is ALWAYS NO....there is no job, or anything else I could have ever done in my life that would have brought me as much joy and happiness as being a mother has.

Those of you that know me well, know that I struggle with my babies growing up.  I have two adult children, and I will say it is truly wonderful being able to be done raising them, and be able to be their friend and have a completely different relationship with them...I love it so much...however, I say it all the time, and it is true..the years have gone much quicker than I would have liked.

I have always tried to treasure every minute, every stage with all my kids, but with Olivia it has been so different.  She is growing up to be the absolute sweetest little girl ever, and it has been so much fun watching her grow up, and change and become her own little person.  But at the same time I am just sad.  I feel as though I have blinked my eyes and she just isn't a baby anymore.  I remember like it was yesterday giving birth to her, and now 9 years has gone by..how is that possible?

Everything with Olivia has been so bittersweet...all of her milestones...all of her firsts...they are my lasts as a mother, and that has been tough for me.

Olivia brings so much joy to us all every single day.  She is smart, funny and oh so sweet, and we all have a really hard time telling her no!  She has been such a bright light in our lives, and I am so honored to be this little girl's mom.

Happy 9th Birthday my sweet Olivia Grace...you are everything I hoped you would be and so much more.  You are so loved!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  See you back here soon!

xoxo,
Kimm

Girl Chat Linkup

Hello Ladies!

Today I am linking up with Danielle , Emily , Lindsay , Lizzie , and Sierra for "Girl Chat".

Today we are chatting about a time we were really lucky!  There have been so many times in my life when I have felt so truly lucky and blessed.

It's a given I think that each and every time I was able to give birth to a healthy baby was a time I felt lucky, truly lucky.

But when I look back over my life what stands out the most, other than the birth of my children, is meeting my husband.  I know I have talked about this many times before, and I am sure some of you are sick of hearing me talk about him, so if you are one of those, stop reading now:)

Most of you who read here regularly know that I am divorced and this is a second marriage for both Mark and I.

I remember as I was going through my divorce I would sit there and think I will NEVER find someone who will be interested in a 36 year old, single mom to 5 kids.  I remember sitting there holding Olivia, saying to myself, I am 100% OK to go through life just being their mom, I don't need a man, I can be happy and content living the rest of my life just being the best mom I could be to my children.  Well, lets just say I am so glad I listened to my girlfriends, and decided to go meet a guy for drinks we found on the internet:)

I remember the first time I met Mark like it was yesterday, and I just remember feeling so content sitting there talking to him.  We talked for hours that first night, and when the fact that I had 5 kids didn't even phase him a bit, I knew right then and there he was a keeper and I was lucky!

Mark and I moved pretty quickly with our relationship....I didn't wait too long to introduce him to my children, which I know probably sounds so crazy to some of you, (and thankfully he was the first and ONLY one after my divorce) but I truly felt like our feelings for each other were developing pretty quickly and in order for him to really know me, he needed to see me as a mom.  And seriously, I think they all fell in love with each other quicker than him and I did.  It took all of 5 minutes to see him with my sweet baby girl for me to know that I had someone really special.  Mark walked right into our lives, never pausing, never thinking about the crazy chaoticness he was walking into, never stopping to think...what the heck am I doing at 40 getting involved with a woman with 5 kids, whose youngest isn't even 2 yet...he just jumped right in, embraced the crazy and just loved us.  He jumped right into full on dad mode...changing diapers, reading bed time stories, coaching tee-ball teams and basketball teams, he did it all....he did it all not because he had to, but because he wanted to, and I was again reminded just how truly lucky I am.

Mark not only fell in love with me, he fell in love with my children, and trust me when I tell you, you would NEVER know that these are his step-kids, he couldn't love them anymore if they were his own flesh and blood...and the feeling is mutual...my kids think he is the cat's meow...they love him so much.  Mark has never tried to take the place of their dad, he has so much respect for Kenny and who he is in their life, and my kids think it is pretty darn cool that they get to have 2 dads who love them.

So yes I am lucky...VERY LUCKY.  I get to share my life with a man who adores me, who puts me first and makes me feel special and loved every single day.  I get to have the best partner in the world to raise my children with.  I am so lucky to have found love again after heartache and divorce.  Taking a chance, going out on that date, it changed my life and the lives of my children....and I do feel lucky, every single day that he picked me to share his forever with:)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for Friday Favorites.

xoxo,
Kimm

What We Are Watching...

Hello Ladies!

Hope you are all having a great week...yay for making it halfway!  I am getting back into my routine this week after a week full of sickness...so I am pretty happy about that!

Today I am going to share with you guys what we are currently watching over here!

One of my favorite parts of the day is once all the kids are settled for the night and I can sit on the couch with Mark.  Weeknights are so crazy for us...he gets home late, dinner, dinner clean up, homework, showers, bed time routine with Olivia...it's always hectic.  So once all the hustle and bustle is done, I just really enjoy sitting down with my guy and watching a show or two. We are not huge Netflix watchers over here, but there are definitely a few shows we are hoping to start soon...if there is something we MUST watch let me know in the comments!

Superior Donuts just started a few weeks ago and we LOVE it!  The cast is great,  and it's 30 minutes of fun!  It reminds me of good old comedies from back in the day, but with a little bit of an edge.  If you are looking for just a fun show to watch check it out Monday nights!

Bull...this show is awesome.  This show is about a team who analyzes juries to help the defense.  We were hooked after the first episode.  If you watched NCIS and loved DiNozzo, you will love seeing him in the lead role in this show!

Who isn't watching This is Us????   I have to admit we are WAY behind on this...we have only watched the first 4 episodes....but good lord...this show is everything.  Mark and I were just saying we need to catch up on it...I know you all are watching it so I don't need to tell you how good it is.

We are big NCIS fans and our favorite is NCIS:  New Orleans.  Super similar to NCIS and NCIS:  Los Angeles...but we love the setting and the cast in this one.

This is probably one of Mark's favorite shows...it is about a group of freakishly smart people, computer whizzes and they go out and solve problems and usually save a life or two.

So there is a little bit of what we are watching over here.  If there is something that we should be watching let me know!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Kimm
