Weekend Wrap-Up....Tuesday Edition

Happy Tuesday Girls!  We are all pretty excited over here because Spring Break starts Friday, and we have the whole week off next week!!!!

YAY!!!!

It was so fun yesterday reading about everyone's favorite nail polishes...I jotted a few down that look great to me...I am excited to try them!

Once again, we another busy weekend.  We only played a one day tournament this weekend, which was a welcome break!

On Friday it was cold and rainy...our weather has been ridiculous here lately...80 one day, then 40 the next....so over it!

I dropped the little kids off to school, yes in my pajamas, then came home and sat on the couch for a bit with some of my favorite cookies....I enjoyed it!!!

I had told you guys last week that we had a pipe that was leaking...well it is now a bit more involved and we are ripping up carpet and hardwood floors...they all need to be replaced....on Friday the guys started ripping things apart....

The crew came out on Friday and started ripping things apart to dry everything out....

We will have fans and such running for the next 36 hours straight...it is very loud and I will be very happy when they come back Monday and get all this crap out of here!!!

As I was sitting on the couch as they were tearing things apart, I was pretty much ready to kill my cat...she insists on eating my flowers and it is really starting to annoy the heck out of me....

Anyone want a cat.....HA....and yes that is blue tape running across my carpet...lots of fans plugged in over here!!!!!

AJ is a pretty funny kid...he pretty much makes us laugh every day....on Friday night he came down after his shower explaining to us about his back up career plans incase being a professional athlete or sniper don't pan out for him

We were happy to hear he has some back up plans!  Love this kid.

Harrison was away for the weekend, and with all the loud equipment we have running in the house, the two little ones decided it was best if they slept in Harrison's room and watched TV in there....

I texted this picture to Harrison, he wasn't super thrilled they were crashing in his room, but said it was OK that they slept in there...I am thinking they were going to whether Harrison said yes or not!  Ha!

Saturday morning we got to sleep in a bit because AJ's first game wasn't until 1:30!  Our weather lately has just been ridiculous...one day it is 80, the next it is like 40!  It was freezing here Saturday...and it was so windy!

AJ had to get in a little skate practice before his game...yes he is wearing shorts, and yes it was like 30 degrees!!!  Crazy kid!

AJ rode with his coach to the game since they have to be there an hour before, so we took Jack and grabbed some lunch before the game.  Always always fun getting some one on one time with him, even if it was just a quick 30 minute meal!

AJ at short stop...that is where he truly shines!

My boy up at bat!!!  His hitting has exploded this year...so proud!

He is ready!

Watching him play is such a joy for me!

He is also a pretty good pitcher....love our #2!

Our second game was delayed over an hour...so what we thought wasn't going to be a super long day at the ball field, turned out to be pretty long!  We got home around 7:30, and we were all cold and tired!  I got home and wasn't feeling well at all, so I immediately changed into my comfy clothes and got some cuddle time in with Olivia!

That crazy toothless smile....so sweet!

Then we just hung out, watched some TV and went to bed nice and early!

Sunday morning we all slept until after 9:30 and it was glorious!  I was very happy to not have to spend the day at the ball field, I really needed to get things done at home!   Mark took the boys to the drag race, it is their favorite kind of race to go to! Like usual, they had the BEST time!

In their glory!

It was sunny, but FREEZING out...so Olivia bundled up and headed out to ride AJ's skateboard!
She was so proud!

Sweet girl!

It was then dinner, showers and bed for everyone!  We are all super excited that Thursday is the last day of school and spring break starts!  We are all ready for some down time!

Be sure to check back tomorrow, I'll be sharing some things that will be going in our Easter baskets!

Have a great day!

Favorite Things Party....Favorite Nail Polish Edition

Happy Monday Girls!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for their "Favorite Things Party", and today it is all about nail polish....be sure to grab the graphic and link up too!

and here are the rest of them for the year!!

I was super excited when I saw this topic, I LOVE LOVE LOVE nail polish, you will never ever see me without polish on my nails, I am not sure why, I just feel totally naked without polished nails.  I have always had a "thing" for nails.  Back in high school, I had acrylic nails, super long, bright pink, lots of designs, then I went a bit more subtle and just got pink and white acrylics, then they went from super long to a more "active" length, and just a basic neutral polish.  Then a few years ago I jumped on the gel nail band wagon, and I did love it, they certainly did last longer than a normal manicure, but quite honestly I dreaded going to get them done.  I can do a pedicure all day everyday, but I have like zero patience getting my nails done anymore.  So last year, I soaked off the gel, and I have been doing my own nails ever since.  I use some great products, and I don't have to re-do them but once a week, and I have gotten pretty good at doing them myself.  Sometimes when I go get a pedicure, I will do a mani also!

I have two favorite brands of polish, I pretty much only ever use Essie or OPI...I just love them.  I tried Butter London a few times, but wasn't overly impressed for the price!

For the most part I really love a neutral nail, 90% of the time I am wearing just a very neutral color

Lately I am loving a little sparkle on my nail.  Here I am wearing Funny Bunny , by OPI, and Hors d'oeuvres by Essie....pretty much my favorite combo right now!

If I am not wearing a neutral color, I will usually wear a dark color, I LOVE Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI, and a month ago I found Smokin Hot by Essie...and I love it!

It isn't quite as deep as the OPI, but it is fabulous.  You can find it here .

These are pretty much my staples when it comes to nail polish.

I always use this as a base coat...love it.

This fast dry top coat is the best I have ever used.  I put it on and in like 3 minutes my nails are completely dry.  I highly recommend this!!!

I am always on the hunt for a great nail polish, so I am super excited to read everyone's favorites today!

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Thursday Thoughts....My Favorite Candles

Happy Thursday Ladies!

Yay for Friday Eve!

I am not sure about y'all....but I love candles.  I pretty much always have a candle lit, there is just something so wonderful about a candle burning!  Over the years I have probably purchased every single candle known to man!  Sometimes I have been super disappointed, I smell it at the store, get it home, light it, and it doesn't even smell....that always infuriates me...I hate wasting my money!

I love Circle E candles, they smell amazing, and last a very long time!

Fresh Cake is one of my favorite scents!

Apple Strudel is definitely my go to in the fall!

If you love candles and haven't tried these yet, do yourself a favor and go check them out!

I was in Nordstrom a few weeks ago and I was immediately drawn this candle...pink and gold...two of my favorites.  I opened it up to take a quick whiff and I was loving it.  I wasn't sure how it would smell while burning, but for only $16 I needed to give it a try...I have it on my desk and light it every time I am up there working....it is amazing.  It is sweet, which I love!  I will definitely be replacing this when it's done.  You can find the exact candle here

I love Anthropologie, and I love buying candles there....in the fall I stock up on the pumpkin soufflĂ© , it is the best scent for fall hands down!  When I am not burning a seasonal scent, I am usually always burning this candle.  I absolutely love it.

I really want to buy the super large size one, but I am pretty sure my husband would KILL me for spending $178 on a candle.

The jar of this candle is so pretty, when I am done burning them, I clean them out and re-use the jars.

I cleaned out the jar and now it holds my favorite pens on my desk!!

This is another one of my favorite scents!  If you love candles, check out these for sure!

Bath & Body Works also has some great smelling candles.  I love their 3-wick candles, you can find them here

Yankee Candle...that used to be my favorite store ever...I don't buy a ton of my candles there anymore..I just find they aren't as strong when they burn as I would like.  That being said, probably my favorite scent ever of all time does come from there, Christmas Eve, there is something just so amazing about this smell.  I always buy 6 of these every year on Black Friday, I buy six because I usually have a coupon for buy two, get two free, so I will get 8 candles and always give two away as gifts.  Christmas Eve is the only thing that will burn in my house from Black Friday until usually the end of January...I have one in the kitchen, family room and playroom downstairs.  I can't even really describe the smell, other than just plain amazing!

AMAZING!!

Would love to know what your favorite candles are!  I am always on the hunt for something amazing!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for Friday Favorites!!!

Wardrobe Wednesday....Easter Dresses For Little Girls

Happy Wednesday!

Every time I see this I laugh out loud!

So, I cannot even believe that Easter is literally right around the corner.  I remember being a little girl, and going shopping every year for a special Easter dress, brand new white patent leather shoes, and an Easter bonnet, I always loved getting dressed up for Easter.  When I became a mom I had the most fun dressing Brooke in the cutest little Easter dresses, and Harrison in some seriously cute sweater vests, and now that my kids aren't so little anymore it just isn't so fun dressing for the holidays.  Olivia still likes to get dressed up, but the boys, forget about it...it's Nike basketball shorts, Nike Elite Socks, and some type of Tshirt, every day, holiday or not!

I am actually heading out this week to get all my Easter basket goodies and will be picking up a sweet little dress for Olivia....I have come across a few cute ones, but I think I am going with this one...

I am not sure what exactly it is about this dress...but I just love it...maybe because it has a bunny on it, I am thinking it should be Olivia's Easter dress!

I am also loving this dress...so springy and sweet!

This dress is just adorable!  Olivia may "need" this one!

I get quite a few things from Target for Olivia, and they seriously have some super cute dresses out this spring!  Here are a few of my Target faves!

Loving this dress...anything tulle is a must for Olivia!

Adorable....and only $24.99 for this dress!

I think this dress is just fun!

Chevron .....that's all I have to say!!

So there are a few dresses for little girls that I am loving right now!!!  If you have a favorite "go-to" store for dresses for your little ladies....be sure to let me know!

Have a great day!
