Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  Today, we got to sleep in because there is no school...we love teacher workdays!

Today I am linking up with Andrea , Erika , and Narci and sharing my Friday Favorites.  Grab the graphic and link up with us too!!!

ONE
I got the iPhone 6 plus back in December and had a super cute glittery clear case on it, so you could see the pretty gold show through.  Well, I was looking for something a bit more fun and happened to be at Best Buy over the weekend and found the cutest collection of Kate Spade cases, their selection was fabulous!

Its bright and beautiful....I am loving it!!  Definitely a favorite this week!

I already had the case on my phone so I uploaded the picture from the Website...

TWO
I have been really trying super hard the past few weeks to eat more healthy, and it is hard and I am always hungry!  I eat breakfast every morning, but usually by 10:30, I am starving, and it isn't quite time for lunch....I have found the perfect snack for me...

Seriously, these are super delicious, it tastes exactly like a brown sugar pop-tart...only 100 calories and it is the perfect mid-morning snack....food is always a favorite of mine!  Ha!!

THREE
Jack and AJ are pretty close in age and for the most part they are pals...but like normal brothers they have their fair share of fights...but when I see them together, not fighting, just having fun together, it just melts my heart....

I pray they always stay close!  These two are always a favorite of mine!

FOUR
I love quotes and sayings...it's become a bit of an obsession for me lately.  When I saw this I laughed...I texted it to Mark...I am pretty sure when we met I led him to believe I was normal...that may or may not have been the case!

FIVE
On Wednesday my hubby needed me to run to Nordstrom Rack to pick him up a few new pair of jeans, so while I was there of course I needed to find something for myself...well you guys know how much I am all about comfort, and well, I found the absolute best bathrobe EVER!  If you guys read Pinterest Told Me To then you know all about the blardigan , I have it and I love it, well, my new bathrobe is the bathrobe version and it is beyond amazing.

I love it so much.  I went online to Nordstrom and found this one and it seems to be pretty much almost the same....the price on the one I bought said $98.00 and I only paid $49.97!!!  Oh yea...this is a definite favorite of mine!!!

SIX
If you read my blog or follow me on Instagram then you know how much I love sharing pictures of my sweet Olivia (I would love to share more of all my kiddos, but the older ones prefer me not to take many pics of them).  Dressing a little girl is just the absolute greatest..it is so so fun.  She looks adorable all the time (just my opinion) and I really love her when she wears her Matilda Jane , I mean super super cute!  Well, I just got a bunch of new things for her in the mail yesterday, I got them all on MAJOR SALE.....

Cute clothes, always a favorite of mine...cute clothes on sale...even more of a favorite!

A few of our FAVORITE MJ outfits!

Remember to grab the graphic, link up, and share your Friday Favorites!  Hope y'all have a great weekend.  Be sure to check back Monday for our Weekend Wrap-Up!

Thursday Thoughts....I Miss My Old TV Shows Edition

Happy Thursday Ladies!  We are extra excited today, because we have another 3-day weekend again...so today is our Friday!  Woot Woot!!!

AMEN!!!!

I don't know about you guys, but I find each year I am more and more disappointed with what is on TV these days....way too much reality TV...and lots and lots of garbage!!  Now, don't get me wrong, I definitely am guilty of watching an episode or two or a hundred  of the Kardashians, I occasionally watch the Bachelor and a few other reality TV shows.  My hubby and I love to watch NCIS and Law & Order SVU, Tuesdays are my favorite days because Law & Order SVU is on ALL DAY LONG!!!!

Stabler and Benson...LOVE LOVE LOVE

I remember growing up, looking so forward to sitting with my family at night, eating some popcorn and watching "our shows"!  I remember when MTV came out and you could actually watch it and see music videos, now it is full of crap!  I wonder what someone is thinking when they come up with a show called "16 and Pregnant", or "Teen Mom"....these type of shows make me absolutely sick!  Basically glorifying teen pregnancy is just ridiculous...it truly blows my mind that these shows are on TV and they have such a strong following.  I had a baby at 18, and I can assure it isn't all wonderful, and my mother certainly would not have allowed me to broadcast it on national television for the world to see!  I find that I really have to keep a good eye on what channel my kiddos have on...I certainly don't want them watching these type of shows!

I wish there was more "family friendly" shows on these days...

Oh how I loved "The Facts of Life"

And "The Brady Bunch"...such a great show!

I still watch these re-runs everynight, but wish more shows like this were on prime-time!

And can we all just agree this was the best show ever of all time.

My DVR is full of shows I need to catch up on... Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Grey's, and I love all these shows, but I just wish there was a little less reality TV on.  I laugh all the time with Mark, I mean seriously it's as if anyone can just make a TV show...I could have a camera crew come into our house and film us 24/7...it could definitely make for some interesting TV I am sure!  I mean if a show like Honey Boo Boo can make millions I am sure I could too....HA!!!

So those are my thoughts for today.....bring back more good TV and get all this garbage off!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for Friday Favorites!  Have a great day today!!!

What We Wore Wednesday...Valentine's Edition

Happy Wednesday Girls!

We are halfway through the week!

Today I am sharing some great outfits that would be super cute for the family for Valentine's Day!  I know I absolutely love dressing my kiddos (well really only Olivia at this point) for a holiday!

First lets start with the kiddos!
The Girls.....

This little long sleeve shirt is super cute!

I love this heart tee too!

Olivia loves tic-tac-toe so this shirt she would flip over!

This is simple yet so cute!

I love this shirt because it doesn't "scream" Valentine's Day.  They also have it in red.

I was at Target the other day, my home away from home, and they really have some super cute stuff for girls for Valentine's Day also!

For Boys...

AJ would totally wear this shirt.  So cute

They only had this shirt in baby sizes...but how adorable!

I mean duh....this is just cute and goes up to a size 5!

My boys are a bit older and they don't think it is as fun anymore to wear a lot of holiday themed clothes...so my boys will most likely just be wearing some type of red t-shirt in honor of Valentine's Day!

Something like this long sleeve tee is right up Jack's alley!!!

My husband is definitely NOT one for wearing "themed" anything!!!  I will be lucky to get him to even wear a red shirt for Valentine's Day...HA!!!

Just your basic polo shirt, perfect for a Valentine's Day Date Night!

This t-shirt I thought was super cute.  Old Navy always has really cute tees!

I am really loving this one too!

And here is one for all the Mickey lovers out there!

This dress would be perfect for dinner with your hubby!

I absolutely love a black dress.  How cute would this dress be with some red heels...FABULOUS!!!

You guys know how much I love pajamas, and I think these are super cute to wear to bed on Valentine's Day!

And seriously how cute and cozy are these jammies!

If you guys have any favorite Valentine's Day clothing items, I would love to hear all about them!

Have the BEST day!  Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Show & Tell Tuesday....Organization

Happy Tuesday Ladies!

Today I am linking up with Andrea for her fun series "Show & Tell Tuesdays".  I am loving this series.  Grab the graphic and link up too!

Today is all about organization!

A while back I did a post about organization, you can read it here .  For me the thought of even trying to get organized was super overwhelming, and well for far too long I was an unorganized mess.  Our life is crazy and chaotic at all times, so being organized, (well as organized as we can be for a family of 7) is a major must for this family.

Most of us all have smartphones, and iPads, and as much as I love technology, I find that actually writing things down on paper helps me, plus I am trying to "lessen" time spent on my iPhone!  I write lists for everything, and it is what works for me.

My younger kids are crazy busy with school, activities, sports, etc...and they are getting to the age where I am really trying to teach them to be a bit more responsible and know what they have going on.  Last summer I found Erin Condren and instantly fell in love with many of their products.

I ordered this weekly schedule pad and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.  I fill it out every Sunday night and then it gets immediately hung on the fridge.  This really helps with the little kids, they know where it is there, and they are able to look at it each day and know what they have going that day, and what other family members do as well.

I don't know about how it is over at your house, but I was pretty much sick of that daily, dreaded question..."Mom, what's for dinner?"  I remember reading Erika's blog and saw this little magnetic weekly meal planner and knew I needed it.  I do all my meal planning for the week on Saturday mornings, I write my list for the grocery store and then fill this out...and then back on the fridge it goes.  The kids can come downstairs in the morning, check out their schedule and then look over and see what's for dinner.  It also has some space on it to jot down things you may need from the grocery store.  For a while, I was pretty bad when it came to meal planning and I can't tell you how many times I was scrambling at 5:00 wondering what the heck we were going to have for dinner!  This really helps me keep track with the meals I have planned for the week, but of course there have been a few times where things just didn't go as planned and we order a pizza:)

I was super excited last summer when I discover the Erin Condren life planner , as soon as I found out about them, I immediately went and ordered a personalized one.

I love that it had the whole month up front, it also came with great stickers to use!

Then, you had your week on two pages, broken up for morning, day and night, with some space on the bottom and sides for notes and what not.  All in all it was pretty awesome.

Fast forward to December and I saw a bunch of people talking about the Emily Lee Simplified Planner and new I needed to check it out.  Well, of course they were sold out, but I was lucky enough to find a retailer close to my house that had one left, so I went and grabbed it.

I didn't have much choice in the cover color, so I had to take what I could get!  I have had it for a few weeks now and I am loving it.  There are a few things about this one that I really love and like a tad better than my Erin Condren planner...

I love that it has the month in full, just like my EC life planner

What I really love is that each day has it's own page, there is a place for your "to do list", notes and a spot for dinner.  I really like that....and some days I have so much going on the whole page is filled up, so that is a huge plus for me.

Saturday and Sunday share a page!

The only thing I wish is that the Simplified Planner had the same cover as the EC Life Planner.

In addition to my calendars and planners I love fun notebooks for making lists, and jotting down ideas and thoughts for my blog, upcoming holidays and things like that.  Plus, I am a sucker for a cute notebook or pad!

Here are a few of my favorites that I am using right now.  I got the personalized one from Erin Condren , it came with two note pads!  The others I picked up at Tuesday Morning and Home Goods!  They always have the cutest notebooks for super cheap!

So there you have it, some of my favorite things to help keep me organized!  Now, I am hoping to read about some great organization ideas for the house...because I could definitely use some help there!

Be sure to check back tomorrow...I'll be sharing some cute Valentine's Day clothes!!!

Have the BEST day!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday...and it is happy over here for sure because the kids don't have school today!  Woot Woot!!!

Lots of happy campers over here today!!!

We had a pretty low key weekend, which we LOVE.  In a little less than two months our weekends are going to become insane....AJ plays travel baseball and we play every other weekend tournaments, usually 6-8 hours on both Saturday and Sunday...so for now we are enjoying this "off season" for sports!!!

On Friday (yes I consider Friday the start of the weekend!), I started off with the gym, then off to the salon to get those pesky gray hairs covered.

Seriously....I love this!!!

After that I had a few returns to make and was starving...

This sandwich was nothing short of heaven!

The sun finally came out here on Friday, so after school, all the kiddos headed out in the neighborhood to play with friends and I caught up on laundry and housework!

Friday night we all just kind of hung out watching TV....

Shopkins were just brought to my attention this week, and well to say Olivia is obsessed would be a very large understatement!  She will watch you tube videos for hours of it.  So this is how she spent her Friday night.

This guy right here....COVERED in poison ivy...seriously who the heck gets poison ivy in the winter!  His Friday night consisted of LOTS of calamine lotion.

On Saturday my day started with many cups of coffee, for whatever reason I woke up exhausted!

I was so happy to be able to sit outside Saturday morning and drink my coffee...for the first time in about a week, the sun was out and it wasn't freezing!

Saturday afternoon my Mark took the boys to the movies and Olivia and I hit up Target...super fun Saturday afternoon.

Looking cute eating sour gummy worms.

This lobster bisque from Publix is what I had for dinner Saturday night and it was delicious.

After dinner we baked some cookies and hung out.

Olivia was loving the Frozen cookies we got on clearance at Target!

These two spend a lot of time on their iPhones!

Sunday morning we slept in a bit, and right after my coffee, I sat at my desk and started my planning for the week...

This is how every Sunday starts for me!

Then it was time for breakfast, and well carrot cake and Coke Zero it was!!!

After I got my meal planning, grocery list and weekly schedule filled out, I hit the grocery store, then home for an afternoon of football!  We absolutely LOVE football season, and though we are super excited for the superbowl, I am definitely a bit depressed that my favorite season, FOOTBALL SEASON, is almost over!

Before the games started, the little kids played.......

AJ is super into war movies lately, and navy seals, so here is outside getting ready for his mission.

Then AJ and Olivia had a little air soft war...always fun to do in the house....hiding behind the couch!!!

This is what the rest of our Sunday looked like!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I am linking up with Andrea for her "Show and Tell Tuesday" Series!

Have the BEST day!!!!
