Friday Favorites

Hello Ladies!

ONE

The kids are NOT supposed to eat on our couch..but kids will be kids, and not following the rules is sometimes what they do best!  Harrison was eating some chips on the couch, and well of course he spilled them, so he had to bust out the vacuum and clean up his mess!  Sometimes sitting back and watching my kids clean is a FAVORITE!

TWO

Dinner lately has been a STRUGGLE for us!  It is so hot here, and half the time no one even feels like eating, much less a heavy meal.  Growing up, one of my favorite meals was when my mom cooked a London Broil, sliced it up thin, melted some butter and garlic, and served it over toast...and well it is now a family favorite over here!  So the other night we made lots of toast, melted lots of butter and Mark grilled a London Broil....it was so good, and there wasn't even a scrap of meat left for the dog!  Super easy, and delicious summer meal!

THREE

Not only do my kids struggle with following the rules, but Chico does as well!  Originally he wasn't to be on the furniture at all...well as most of you with cute pups know, that usually doesn't happen!  However, I prefer him NOT to be on my favorite throw pillows...clearly Chico loves my throw pillows as much as I do!  This cute little pup continues to be a favorite for all of us!

FOUR

My mom is coming down for a week at the end of the month, and we are all super excited and looking forward to a little family beach trip over Labor Day Weekend!  The beach and my mom...definitely two of my favorite things!

FIVE

 Ok, so this little anti-friction stick is hands down pretty much the greatest little invention of all time.  I just found out about this about a month ago, and maybe I am late to the game, but if y'all have never used this...you need to!  My friend Heather told me about and it is seriously AWESOME!  I have a few pair of shoes that sometimes just rub and really hurt my feet, especially my Converse, and well using this...no more blisters or pain from rubbing!  I found it at Target, and it was about $8...and it has been life changing for me!

Mark is working this weekend...and I am planning on spending Saturday getting the boys the rest of the things they need to start school next Wednesday!  On Sunday Mark and I are planning to go and see Bad Moms, everyone says it is hilarious!  Can you guys believe that Mark and I have never been to a movie together!!  I am not a big fan of going to the movies, and no lie the last time I was in a movie theater was when Brooke and Harrison were little, and the first SpongeBob movie came out...so it has been a while!  I am very much looking forward to a movie date with my hubs this weekend!
