Tuesday Talk....Bates Motel

Happy Tuesday Girls!

Hope everyone has a GREAT Tuesday!

Ok....so today I am talking about Bates Motel...is anyone out there as addicted to this show as I am?  When it first came on two years ago, I was totally intrigued, and a little disturbed by the previews, but I knew I needed to watch the first episode to see what it was all about!  Well, it is now my favorite show!  Mark doesn't love it, but Harrison and myself....we are all about Monday nights and Bates Motel!

This show is definitely "weird"!

Norman, the main character is just weird, and in the first few episodes I totally thought Norma, the mom was weirder, I mean she is definitely strange but not as strange as I thought.  In the first few episodes they buried a body or two, and it got weird fast!

I am totally hooked....it is creepy, weird, and just when you think you know what is going to happen next, a curve ball comes and it goes into a totally different direction.

If anyone else is watching would love to know if you are loving it!  And if there are some must watch shows that you think I need to start watching please tell me!!

Be sure to check back tomorrow....I'll be sharing some super cute Easter dresses!

Weekend Wrap-Up....And Some Thoughts From My Most Embarrasing Moment

Happy Monday!

Monday sure does come around quick...hope you all had a great weekend!

We had another weekend full of baseball Saturday and Sunday!  The weather was great, so it was fantastic to be outside all weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather and our little man doing his thing!

On Friday, my mom had some minor surgery so I spent 6 hours sitting in the waiting room getting my planner in order, drinking a lot of coffee, and catching up on lots of issues of People magazine!  After I brought her home and got her settled I was just plain exhausted, so I came home, Mark was so sweet and made dinner for us and by 6:00 I was already in my pajamas and it was fabulous!

Wild Friday nights over here!

With a super early game on Saturday, I had to set my alarm super early....I am so not a morning person and having to set an alarm on the weekend just sucks in my opinion!

Saturday morning, we were up early ready to go watch our boy do his thing!  He played super great in both games....I am so proud of him!

Such a great group of kids!

I know I have said it a million times before, but I am so so thankful that I married such a wonderful man that absolutely adores my kiddos!  We are all so lucky to have him!

We were in the car about 5 minutes, and I turned around and he was out like a light!

When we got home Olivia was outside playing with friends, and she came running up to us to say hello......

....wearing this....I nearly died....I mean there is so much going on in this outfit it is insane!  She however thought she looked fabulous...I let her wear it the rest of the day, because I am sure you can only get away with this when you are 7!

I ran to Target for a few things and couldn't pass up buying Starburst all red jelly beans...reds are my favorite and the whole bag being red just makes me happy!

Red jelly beans and a Pepsi!!

We hung out the rest of the afternoon watching NASCAR and AJ announced he needed a "drink" to celebrate his victory (and by drink he meant sparkling cider).

He was so happy to "celebrate" all night long!

And you can only drink sparkling cider out of champagne glasses, according to AJ!

After we drank our celebratory drinks it was time to break out the cotton candy machine!

Santa brought a cotton candy maker for Olivia and it is seriously like her favorite thing ever!

Sunday morning we got to sleep in, because we didn't have to be at the ball field until 12:30!

It makes me so happy to see all these boys praying before the game!

Our first game started great...AJ's first time at bat was a home run..it was a super exciting game that went into extra innings, sadly we lost by 1.  The boys played so well, and it was such an exciting and fun game to watch!

The second game was pretty much a disaster from start to finish.  Though the outcome wasn't what we hoped, the boys played some good ball this week, and are ready to move on and focus on next weekend's tournament.

It was a super long day, so we came home, ate dinner, and then I heard the boys screaming downstairs in the playroom that water was coming out of the ceiling onto the TV.....and sure enough it was also coming out of the wall on our main living area....so the plumber arrived at 9:00 p.m,  and thank goodness he was able to fix it!

So we get to look at this for the next few days until it all dries out and we have them come out and repair it.  Not exactly how I was hoping for our weekend to end!

Before I go I just wanted to say that I appreciated all the comments from last Tuesday's show and tell post.  Clearly, many of you thought it was just appalling what I did, and I understand and respect everyone's opinions.  Many said they didn't think I felt embarrassed and was proud of what I did.  I had written towards the end that looking back I realized that I should NOT have did what I did , and that my emotions and passion got the best of me that day.  I am pretty sure that many of us at some point in life, have done something they are not proud of, I shared what I did, and stated that I learned from the mistake I made.  I try and go through life knowing I am not perfect and that I will make mistakes and bad judgement calls, my hope is that I learn from these.  It definitely wasn't my proudest moment, but hey, it happened and I owned it.  Now, I cheer for our team, and when the crappy calls happen, and they always do, I vent at home.  I always appreciate anyone who takes the time to read what I write, and I always appreciate comments, even constructive ones, I just wanted to "set the record straight" so to speak, because feeling proud of what I had done was certainly not the case!

Hope you guys all have a great Monday!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I am talking about our new favorite show!!!!!

Thursday Thoughts....Home Based Businesses

Happy Thursday Ladies!

One more day until the weekend...can I get an AMEN!!!!

Well today is my last day of work....I am not exactly sure how I feel...I am definitely excited about being able to be home and focus my time and energy here....but I would be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss getting a paycheck!!!

I have been thinking for a few month now about different things I could do from home, around my family's schedule, and still earn a little bit of extra money each month.  A few years back I was a stylist with Stella & Dot, and I loved it, but with going through a divorce, etc, I just didn't have the time to focus on it, and well, I let my contract expire and I never renewed it.  I have been thinking about it again lately, should I join as a stylist again?  Should I maybe try something else?  There are so many great opportunities out there.  I have seen friends have huge success with Stella & Dot, Rodan & Fields, Scentsy, It Works...and the list goes on and on.

I would LOVE to hear from anyone who is doing some sort of home based business, what your thoughts are on it, have you been successful with it, would you recommend it...etc...

Please leave a comment or send me an email, kimmskorner@gmail.com if you have any information you can share with me about what you do!

I saw this and I really needed to read these words today...here is looking to a bright future!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to check back tomorrow for Friday Favorites!!!!

What We are Wearing...Spring Pajamas Edition

Happy Wednesday Girls!

I am always so happy when Wednesday rolls around...week is half over and the weekend is right around the corner.

So, you guys know how much I love pajamas, I wish I could wear them all day everyday!  I have worn the heck out of my fleece pajamas this winter, seriously some of the best money I have ever spent.  Well, with winter leaving (thank God) and spring on the horizon it is time to pack away the warm jammies and break out some lighter weight ones.

I ordered these pajamas and they arrived in the mail on Friday....I absolutely love them...they are super cute and super lightweight...they had a few cute different patterns to choose from and they are only $34.50

I mean, seriously....how cute...I am totally loving the bee pattern!

Victoria's Secret always has great pajamas!  Here are a few more pair that I think are super cute, and I am also thinking a pair or two will make their way to me!

I thought this pair was adorable also.  They have lots of fun different colors!

And these .....I adore anything leopard print!

I love a great pair of lounge pants....these are my favorite brand to wear...super comfy!

Olivia loves wearing nightgowns.  This one from Old Navy is super cute, and so reasonably priced.

AJ would totally wear these , so funny!

I also love getting pajamas for the kids from Target, they always have cute stuff, and the price is always perfect!

Hope you guys have a great day!  Check back tomorrow, I will be looking for opinions and thoughts from anyone with a home based business!!

Show and Tell Tuesday...My Most Embarrasing Moment

Happy Tuesday Girls!

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.  Be sure to grab the graphic and link up too!

So today we are telling about our most embarrassing moment, and well let me tell you guys, I have embarrassed myself a lot in my life!

When I was going through all my embarrassing moments, the one that sticks out the most is actually something that happened this past fall.  I am choosing this one because not only did I embarrass myself but my husband and kids too....because if I am going to do something, I am surely going to do it right...HA!

I have been known at times to get a little "worked" up during my boys games...now don't confuse me for that crazy mom that thinks every call against her own child is wrong, but I have been known to "speak up" in the stands when officials just clearly are getting the game wrong.  I swear at times I think these refs are paid to call a game a certain way...that's how bad they officiate some times!

I am pretty sure I need this shirt!

This past fall, during one of AJ's football games, it was one bad call after another...I certainly was not the only parent getting annoyed, many of the dads were "voicing" their opinions in the stands.  I usually stand up by the fence during the football games, running down the sideline as AJ is running with the ball, so yes I am that mom....ha!  Anyway....the refs were making one bad call after another at this particular game, it was beyond ridiculous.  I was getting pretty loud, and at one point the ref looked over and said "ma'am if you keep this up, you will be removed"....at that point Mark was borderline furious with me, and kindly told me to shut the hell up keep quiet.  Harrison, my oldest son, coached AJ's team, and during half time came to me and said it was clear to all the coaches too that they were making some serious bad calls, but I should probably calm down a bit.  So I kept my cool during the second half of the game, watching one bad call after another, and watching our entire team get screwed.  After the game, I was pretty ticked....so as the team gathered for their little group chat after the game, I saw the officials walking off the field up to their cars....and I decided it was a good idea to follow them and tell them exactly what I thought of their crappy calls against our team throughout the entire game.  The guy just stood there, almost in disbelief that I followed him to his car and basically told him off.  He told me he made the calls as he saw them, and if I had any issues to send a letter to the league.  Well, I told him clearly he was blind and definitely not watching the same game we all were, and I assured him I would be following up with a letter.

As I was walking down the hill back to Mark and the boys, I could see Mark just shaking his head....thinking, yup I married the crazy mom!!!  I asked AJ if he was embarrassed of me screaming on the sidelines, and he said only a little bit, and he was pretty mad too about the crappy calls, so that made me feel a bit bitter!  I came to later find out that a few of the other coaches and some parents also complained about that referee also, so it kind of in my mind confirmed I was not totally crazy!

Looking back, I probably should have kept my cool a bit more and NOT followed this poor guy to his car, but sometimes I just get really passionate about things and it takes on a life of it's own.

So there you have it, one of my most embarrassing moments.  Can't wait to read everyone's today!

Be sure to check back tomorrow, I am sharing some GREAT spring jammies!!!

Have a great day!

Weekend Wrap-Up....Birthday and Baseball Edition

Happy Monday Girls!

Yes this pretty much sums up how I feel about a Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend, we sure did!

Friday was all about celebrating this girl turning 7!  She woke up all smiles, which is definitely a big deal around here, because that is not usually how the mornings go with her!

One of my favorite things to do is go and have lunch with the kids at school...and going on a birthday is just that much better!

Lots of happy classmates eating cupcakes!

I just love this little girl so much!

After I had lunch with her, I ran to get her birthday present...talk about last minute right....

I could stay in the American Girl Doll store for hours...it's a very dangerous place...ha!

When Mark came home from work, we ate Olivia's favorite meal....spaghetti, and then we had cake and opened presents...super fun!!

Her favorite meal of all time!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

This pretty much sums up my girl....super silly!

She LOVED her new AG doll!

Olivia and Grace Thomas

All tucked in and ready for bed as a 7 year old!

Saturday morning we all slept until about 10 and it was glorious!  After breakfast we took AJ for some new sneakers and some baseball pants he needed for his tournament Sunday...yes I pretty much always wait until the last minute for everything!

We love getting one on one time with each of the kids!

And then when we got home Olivia was super excited that her other top tooth finally fell out...I mean it has been just hanging there for a good two months!

And as I was cleaning up the kitchen, this is what I turned around to see...this girl is just plain silly!!!

The rest of the night we just kind of hung out and watched TV...it was nice!

Sunday we were up and ready for some baseball!  AJ is a wonderful athlete, but baseball is where this boy shines.  Baseball season is my absolute favorite time...I could sit and watch him play all day long...there is really nothing I love more than watching my boy do what he loves!

I love this kid!

Waiting to hit....

This hit resulted in a double!  Go AJ!

Pitching

My favorite view....#2

He played great....we are pumped it's baseball season!

After the game we came home and ate my hubby's favorite meal....corned beef and cabbage...we only ever make this once a year, of course around St. Patrick's Day...and everyone loves it,  especially Mark!

After dinner, it was showers and bed for the littles and some time at my desk for meal planning and organizing my calendar for the week!  This is my last week of work and I am pretty darn excited!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope y'all have a great day!
