Stranded

Happy Wednesday Girls!

Today I am linking up with Shay and Erika for their "Stranded" link up!  Be sure you guys grab the graphic and link up too!

and here is the list for the upcoming topics:
Last month it was so much fun to read what everyone would bring from their medicine cabinets...if you missed it, you can check out my top 3 medicine cabinet items here .

Today we are sharing what 3 books we would bring with us.  I just started really getting back into reading a few months ago....and I would definitely want a few good books with me if I was stranded on a deserted island!

I mean DUH I would have to bring this book with me, so I would know exactly what to do and how to survive on a deserted island!

I am guessing on a deserted island we would be hunting our own food, so this cookbook would come in handy showing me how to cook it.....GROSS!!!!!

And then after I read up on how to survive being stranded on a deserted island, and after I cooked up what I hunted, I would be ready to sit and do a word search!

There you have it...my 3 books I would bring if I was on a deserted island!  Can't wait to see what everyone else would bring!

  1. I love the practicality of your choices, Kimm! I was thinking some great fiction would get me through, but yours are better choices for survival for sure! Have a great day!

  2. loved this! So practical! I think I'd personally take a crossword book though, just beside they're much harder for me and would entertain for a longer period. :) have a great day!

    1. i don't mention them because honestly we don't see them very often, and they just are not a part of our every day life.

  7. Seems sad. Mark does so much for your kids, but his aren't a part of your life?

    1. It's actually beyond sad, and I can assure you 100% that I wish it was different. Unfortunately not all divorces are nice and civil (I'm so thankful mine was) and sadly many times the kids are put in the middle. Mark is a truly incredible man and an even better father , and it makes me very sad the dynamics of the relationship. I wish they were able to be more a part of our lives, but it's something I have no control over. I was so fortunate that blending Mark into our family was so effortless , and even though Mark was divorced ten years before him and I even met, I'm somewhat viewed as the one who took their dad away. Truly that is not at all what happened, and for the first few years I struggled with it, but I had to let it go. We have both always tried reaching out and making them a part of our family. But when divorce is ugly and parents are so nasty to each other in divorce the kids always suffer. That is why I make it an absolute priority, even when I don't really want to, to keep things extremely friendly and civil with my ex husband, to me it is so important that my children have a good relationship with both of us. We chose to divorce and and I firmly believe when you decide to break up your marriage and children are involved you must keep that the priority, regardless of your feelings towards your ex
