Every Girl Link-Up....Nail Polish Edition

Happy Thursday Girls!

Today I am linking up with Floral and Fudge and Hill Collection and talking about one of my favorite things.....nail polish!

A few weeks back I wrote about some of my favorite nail polishes, you can read about it here .  I LOVE nail polish....I can't remember a time since I was probably 13 that I didn't have polished nails.  I went through the phase of super long acrylic nails, then I did the pink and white acrylics, then did gel nails for a while.  Today, I just do them myself.  I LOVE getting a pedicure, but I don't enjoy sitting and getting a manicure.  I usually do my nails once a week, at home, usually before I go to bed at night.

99% of the time I always have a "neutral" color on my nails, my absolute hands down favorite color of all time is Funny Bunny by OPI!  It is AWESOME!

If you are looking for the perfect clean, neutral, you need to check this polish out.

I typically only use OPI and Essie nail polish, I tried Butter London a few times, but didn't think it was anything that great for the price.

Some days I love a little bit of sparkle on my nails, and this glitter polish is perfect!

Love the little "pop" of sparkle.

In the fall and winter months, my "go to" is usually Lincoln Park After Dark by OPI or Smokin Hot by Essie.

I am wearing the Smokin Hot here.

My polish usually lasts about a week, and I always use the same base coat and top coat, every single time, and for me they work great.

I love this all in one by Essie as a base coat, you can use it as a top coat also, but I use something else.

This top coat is my absolute favorite.  It is super fast drying, which I love, after I apply it, my nails are good to go in about 3 minutes...never a smudge or dent!  I can't say enough about this top coat!

So there you have it....a few of my favorite products for fabulous nails at home.  Can't wait to read about everyone else's tips and tricks!

See you back here tomorrow for Friday Favorites!

    3. At the end of the day if people don't like me, I am ok with that. If they want to spend their precious time reading something they don't like only to have something negative to say, that's ok too. It's a shame people have nothing better to do than spew hate, but at the end of the day I am happy, my husband and kids are happy and that's all that really matters to me! Hope you have a great day girl.

    1. I figure why not publish the comments, if people have nothing better to do than read something they don't like and take the time to comment they clearly don't have much else in life keeping them happy and busy! Hope you have a great day.

    1. Hi kel, people can be very rude, it's sad but true, thank you for taking the time to comment. We definitely enjoy our life and do what makes us happy, no one else. Have a great day.

  5. I always love a good recommendation for a top coat! I need to look into the one you suggested!

  6. So do you have to wait for each coat to dry before you do the next? Like base coat, wait to dry, polish, wait to dry, and then top coat? I never do polish on my nails because I can't handle waiting for them to dry! I do my toes, but I don't have to do anything special while they dry.

    1. Hi there. I put the base coat on, once I put it on my last finger I immediately apply the polish, starting from the finger I did first, then I immediately apply the second coat of Polish, wait about one minute put the top coat one and in like 3 minutes perfectly dry. It takes me maybe 15-20 minutes start to finish. Hope this helps!

  7. I love nail painting posts! Unfortunately mine are not painted now, you have motivated me to paint them! Haha. And how awful is it that I'm too lazy sometimes to put on a top coat? But now after reading this I will try yours bc I hate when it chips in a couple days.

Also referencing the above commenter...how sad that some don't know the rule if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all :)

  8. I do love the glittery one! And I like how your nails aren't too long!

    1. The glittery one is the BEST. The active length for nails is about all that works for me. Have a great day.

  10. First off---can I just tell you that I think you are FABULOUS!!!!! It makes me sad that some women feel the need to tear others down and say not so nice things to one another. But I'm not going to dwell on that (and I am certain you won't either)! I love the Lincoln Park after Dark---it is definitely my favorite go to in the fall and winter. I wish I had more patience to do my nails though---I love it when they are done but I guess I'm just too lazy :)
