Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday Ladies!  Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend!  I can't believe we are in November already, this year is FLYING by!

I feel like the past two weeks have been one big weekend, with moving and the kids being home with us...I am so ready for a routine and some normalcy again.  The boys started school today, and Olivia will be starting tomorrow....please say a little prayer for them that they have a great day and adjust well!

Mark and I have been sick this past week, so we haven't been doing much other than resting, and trying to kick these awful colds we had!

Friday morning started with this girl hiding under blankets playing on the ipad...she never gets tired of the ipad!

While Olivia was busy and everyone else was sleeping, I decided to start filling in my planner for 2016...hard to believe the new year is right around the corner.  There is something so great about filling up a new planner for the new year!

The boys have been so lazy...they enjoyed just hanging out watching some TV!

Of course some fishing was involved

She could fish all day long!

I spent my Friday evening on my porch just admiring the views...I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at this in my backyard.

Friday night ended with Olivia showing us her cast on her "broken" arm!

Saturday morning Olivia was up bright and early, in her costume ready for Halloween1

The sweetest little witch ever!

She just makes me happy!

Of course she had to get some fishing in.

That face.....I just love her so much!

AJ spent some time relaxing on his skateboard.

And Liv had some fun splashing after Mark sprayed off the driveway!

These two were ready for trick-or-treating

These 3....the BEST!

She was ready for some candy!

Everyone had told us that downtown was the place to go for trick-or-treating, so we were really excited!  It definitely wasn't what we thought it would be.  The streets were closed, and the homes were awesomely decorated, however the trick or treating wasn't so great.  It was more of people just dressed up walking around, looking at all the houses decorated.  My kids were super disappointed!  They are used to getting a ton of candy on Halloween and well this year....that wasn't happening!

That was the candy Olivia got...it was definitely a bit pathetic!

We tried to make the best of it with the kids, and walked around and enjoyed the sights....

They were pretty happy about the cotton candy!

It wasn't the Halloween they had hoped for, but I think they enjoyed us all being together and walking around and looking at all the fun decorations!

Sunday morning we were up early, the Lions played at 9:30, so we woke up to watch them play!

She has been loving some oranges lately...she can't get enough!

We spent the rest of the day watching football, cooking and getting the kiddos ready for the week ahead!

The night ended with everyone going to bed at a reasonable hour , and me doing my favorite thing.....watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I'll be talking about how different school will be for Olivia!

  1. Ahhh looks like a great weekend! I'm sorry that Halloween was a bust! You might need to just go to Publix and stock up on the candy on sale ;)

  2. That's a bummer about the candy. I don't really understand why someone would go to such effort to decorate up their house but not have candy to give out??? I'm sure by next year you'll have discovered a better trick or treating spot! My county had several moms boards on FB and there's always lots of location-specific questions about the best neighborhoods at Halloween, Christmas lights etc. Maybe your county has a group like that?

    1. I'm anxious for the kids to get started in school so we can meet other families. We are definitely still learning the lay of the land. Have a great day!!!

  4. I still can't get over the candy! If you can decorate for Halloween, you can give out candy!

  5. We have a ton left - if we lived close to you I would so pass it all on to your kiddos! Hopefully they have a great first day of school!
