Show And Tell Tuesday...Favorite Room Edition

Happy Tuesday Girls!

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday...and today it is about sharing our favorite room in our house!

I had to think about this because I just really wasn't sure what my favorite room in the house was for me....I feel like I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, but I can't say it is my favorite room, I spend a fair amount of time in our family room, but again, can't say it is my favorite either.  I do love our playroom for the kids...I always love hearing them play down there...but again can't say it is my favorite.  After a ton of thought, I realized the favorite room in my house isn't a whole room, its a small part of my bedroom where my desk is.  It really is just my favorite place to be in my house.  It is surely nothing fancy, and one of these days I am going to spruce it up and give it a make over, but even though it's not fancy or anything special, it is truly my favorite place to be at home.

I love sitting at my desk, drinking my coffee, and just kind of regrouping.  I can shut my bedroom door, have some quiet time and for me it is truly a little piece of heaven!

At some point during the day, I always sit up here for a few minutes, reflecting on my day, and I take some time to write down some goals, or some things I am thankful for.

I picked up this cute little notebook at Tuesday Morning, and it is my little gratitude journal, I love writing in it each day.

All of my planning is done at my desk...I love sitting down at the beginning of each month and then again at the beginning of each week, getting my planner organized...there is something so fantastic about being organized and writing it all down.

I love pens, and I decided to take my favorite candle jar from Anthro, and use it as my fancy pen holder on my desk...I just love it!

I always have a candle burning when I am working at my desk....there is something so relaxing about having a wonderful scent as I am doing my work.

I picked up this "K" at Garden Ridge and I just love it hanging above my desk...I feel like it kind of "marks" my space!

It may not be much, but it's my own space...and with a family of 7, I am so thankful to have a little nook to call my own!

So here is my desk...cluttered with all my favorite things, a place where I love to just sit, work, reflect, and catch my breath!

Can't wait to check out everyone else's favorite rooms today!

Thanks so much for reading and hope to see you back here tomorrow!

  5. I feel ya. My desk/office is part of our breakfast nook...the study was taken over by a play room :) And I love my little space even though I wish I had more room. I agree, a candle makes things amazing!
