Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Girls!

 

Yay for my birthday!  I'm still kind of like a kid when it comes to my birthday..and I pretty much celebrate it all week long.  Today I turn 42...I feel like I am officially in my 40's now...I can remember back in my late 20s that sounded so old...not so much anymore!   March is a crazy busy month of birthdays for our family, and lets face it, when you have kids and their birthday falls close yours, you kind of get lost in all their celebrating.

ONE

On Tuesday we celebrated Jack turning 14!  Watching my kids turn into really awesome young adults is definitely a favorite for me!

TWO

Last Saturday while Mark was at work, the kids and I watched the first 4 episodes of Fuller House...so far I am totally LOVING it!  Jack and AJ already let me know they went ahead and finished the series, but would still watch it with me...little stinkers!

THREE

Mark came home and surprised me with this little speaker and I LOVE it!  A few months back I mentioned that I wanted one, and then never really thought much about it after that...well he remembered...because he is awesome like that!  I love having my music blasting while the kids are at school and I am here cleaning and doing laundry!  Sweet little unexpected surprises are always a favorite for me! 

FOUR

I love getting packages delivered...and yesterday I was pretty darn excited about this little delivery!  I'm sure most of you guys know Shay , she blogs over at Mix & Match Mama, and well now she has 2 cookbooks out!  I have made LOTS of her recipes over the years, and what I love most about them is they are super simple to make, and always taste delicious!  These books are available now on Amazon, you can find her Meal Planner book here and her Cakes book here .  It was so sweet of her to send me these two cookbooks...I can't wait to try these recipes!  Olivia has already made a list of all the cakes she wants us to bake! 

 

Happy mail days and awesome women I have met through blogging are always favorites for me!


FIVE

Desperate times call for desperate measures!  My corkscrew broke as I was trying top open this bottle of wine, Mark was at work, and well, I just kept pushing down on that cork until it fell in the bottle and I could pour me a glass!  Enjoying a nice glass of wine after a LONG day (even if it contains shreds of cork) is for sure a favorite for me!
